Yeah, he's serviceable.. but we can't run behind him on 3rd and short... Or throw to him in critical situation. Kid just isn't reliable/clutch in that way... Coaches have to stop thinking this kid is big-time like that, he's simply serviceable.

Will Mallory is not That Dude... We have tried extensively to force the ball to this guy in critical situations, and he has proven that he's not worthy of it. Kid is weak! Needs another 4 years that he doesn't have to fix the issues with his game as a TE. He can't block, his ball skills...

Truthfully, we've had our hands on several STA kids over the years, but somehow it didnt work out... At the time, perhaps the lack of player development on the staff's part made the other STA kids go in another direction ??

The response to every loss will be, sorta like this: "We need more toughness and hard work out of our players" LOL!! But in all seriousness, I expect 3 losses this season, with a decent bowl win.... Simply think we have enough healthy players, and fundamental improvements to beat UNC...

Honestly, Scaife looked better at Tackle, as he seems to understand his assignment there, but he would make a better Guard, so I understood the move (along with the mandatory need)... Thing is...at Guard, the kid has had several mental lapse, and it caused him to lose some confidence...

Pat is a Legacy Cane, and the kid has done all he's been asked to do, namely gaining weight to switch positions after coming in as a DE... However, the kid has sucked at DT, and is pretty much serving the role of an underwhelming stop gap. All of the stats Bethel has racked up over the years...
