I know, we should be competing for championships every year, right?

If you can’t be realistic, you’re not gonna have any fun watching this team.
You ignore every point made then say some dump crap that no one mention. At what point on my post i mentioned championship mud brain? Point it out

Great video! looks like the sky isnt falling afterall. ive been screaming from the rooftops that scaife wasn't it since last yr.

Still really like this team, the fact that Mccloud played above average is a godsend.
Crazy **** is on the recruiting sites all you heard about was Scaife Killin it at camps and the all star practices.

You’re acting like we should’ve hung with Bama. We were outclassed, as 127 of 129 other teams would be.

This offense is built on tempo and meant to move fast. They got smothered. That won’t happen this weekend and probably not again all year.

you don’t really make any points. You kinda just *****.

Linebackers out of position. Corners out of position. Wonder who coached these guys? Oh wait
I thought Flagg played well. Keontra was hard to gauge bc he was just too small to make any impact. The backups are backups for a reason.

Tyreke was good enough. This was a poor play tho. Ivey is who he is. If he can be the weakest link, the D can still be good against the rest of our schedule.

Just shut tf up. Loser. They didn't play 129 teams, they played us clown.

So "Zion" got owned a couple of times?? 45 offensive plays and he got owned "a couple of times" doesn't seem that bad to me. JMHO
Yeah the plays in question the D-end crashes down hard right away. Not much you can do except not let him jackknife and make the play since the defense is rolling that way. Good plays by Saban to try and beat him but he stood his ground enough on those plays

And UNC didn’t play them the year they went 7-6 and lost by less than 7 every game.

Idk what point you are trying to make. We aren’t in Bamas league. Most ppl here understand that.

My point is you can’t gauge how good this team is if you compare it to Bama. No coach could’ve won with those matchups. I think we can run the table (I don’t think we will, but we certainly can) until the ACCCG.

Yea, we need better recruits. Yeah, you get them by winning. If we rattle off 10 straight vs the teams we are SUPPOSED TO beat, recruits will take notice. Maybe next year we get three 5* instead of 2. Whether it’s manny or someone else, you gotta win to sell the top talent on coming here.

MALLORY IS SOFT!!! So it obviously begs the question. What do MOST Cane fan's see in him. He was " punked " several times last season too. Yeah. I know he had injury issues to deal with in the past, but there's NO EXCUSE this season. My bad for calling out the obvious. And yes, a lot of Cane player's on offense were " punked " too. Peace.
He's just not an inline te, that's what it's always been. He's light in the *** and not strong enough to hold up in a power run game. He's a receiving te that should be in space and using his speed to beat guys.

He really is, for the most part. But he's struggled even blocking in space. I can live with him getting his lunch taken if we're going to try to have him hold up against Christopher Allen or someone like that in-line, but you have to be able to block a nickel or a safety in the bubble game. It's a huge staple of Lashlee's offense. Hopefully he can handle the ACC kids a little better than he did Bama.

Deep crossers? Did you watch the game? King barely had 2 seconds to get the ball out.

By mid way through the 2nd quarter he was tucking it if his first option was covered bc the pocket collapsed on him so many times.

While there were certainly some frustrating moments, the QB got the ball away because he was just better than our guys. Sensed pressure and was able to climb the pocket or move away from it, eyes downfield, accurate throw, 5* receivers.

There’s plenty to fix, but there is only so much you can do when there is that amount of talent discrepancy.
King had plenty of time on plays and still missed wide open guys or left the pocket early causing sacks. I talked about this last year, there was a bunch of sacks he caused, he stares down guys especially in the middle of the field .Hes a good leader and tough but he's limited as a passer. He also doesn't have the greatest pocket presence.

The zone read needs eliminated from the playbook, he can't make the right reads and rarely keeps it. So It just makes it look like a real slow developing run play. It's just awkward to watch.

He's just a bad blocker and not physical enough. I don't see a dog. He's a one dimensional player and that's ok. Jimmy Graham made a lot of money being one dimensional. We need to use him more in space , he's a walking mismatch. It's crazy how much he stayed open last year but never got passes.

I think as the season goes on alot of the plays that didnt work against Bama will work perfectly against lesser talented teams. I am really looking forward to seeing if some of the schemes and plays that Manny and Lashlee have drawn up how they look against teams that have no Day 1 or 2 draft picks on their defense or offense compared to Bama that has probably 5-6 on defense alone.

I remember Jon Gruden when he was at ESPN did a game film review with Brad Kaaya for the NFL Draft and they showed a play where Kaaya was in the shotgun and there was an OLB from GTech that couldnt beat the LT fast enough to get to Kaaya on a play action fake and he threw strike for a TD that looked pretty as can be. Then Gruden showed that same exact play but this time that OLB was Matthew Thomas from FSU at the time and he absolutely ran by the OT and knocked Kaayas back moler out his mouth for a sack. Gruden looked at Kaaya with a smirk and said, "That play turned out a little different when you got a FSU caliber LB defending it instead of a GTech one, didn't it?" And Kaaya was like, "**** right.". I never forgot that.

Take from that what you will as we go into the season and see what this team is really made of.

Yep. I don't know how you can miss King's head suddenly looking at the end zone behind him as a guy is reaching for his head. They picked up a targeting flag on Thursday nights Ohio State v Minnesota game. Ohio State kid did far worse than Bolden, but the announcers and the referee guy in the studio were tripping over themselves saying basically he didn't mean it so it would be a shame for him to get kicked out.
Bubba didn’t mean it either! It wasn’t his fault.

I wouldn't say he had plenty of time. And as I said earlier, by mid-2nd quarter, he was tucking it if his first read was covered bc the pocket was collapsing on him all day.

I totally agree King is limited and can be inaccurate. I've posted it many times starting last year, including a PFF breakdown of his deep ball this off-season. My point was that there wasn't time or space to hit crossers and deep passes in this game. No time because of the insane pressure and our weak (physically and rhetorically) OL. No space because Saban's game plan was to jam our small WRs at the LOS and rely on the front 4 to get pressure (which they did), allowing the LBs and safeties to create havoc. There was just nowhere to go. It was more on the OL than King, IMO.

When King had time, I thought he did a good job. Forced it a few times (1 got picked off), but for the most part if guys were open King didn't have time to go through his progressions.

31 was lining up in 5-tech and got around Scaife like his feet were in cement boots. Normally this would open up the middle, but there was nothing there because our guards are physically weak and because Bama's LBs are smart and athletic and filled the right gap basically every time.

Again, we just didn't have the horses, and most teams don't. That was a different brand of football.

******* yikes, man

preachhhh i've been "hatin" on king since he got here, tired of people hyping this dude up to be something he's not. He's going undrafted at this rate, think about that.

He’s 5’10 on a good day, of course he’s not.
