Torrance Gibson Set OV To Miami

No changing to the spread option bs, Gibson is seeing at the Senior bowl that he needs to actually learn how to be a pro style QB, which Miami will teach him. The QB from Auburn had to switch to DB because he knew he was not a NFL QB.

It will take at least 2 years to coach Gibson up, in terms of reading defenses and learning his read progression as well his 3-5-7 step drops from under center. This could be interesting an I think he sees OSU is loaded at QB.

Go Canes

Yep , that bs has won urban three national titles

And u cant name one QB that Urban meyer had that went to the Pros n succeeded.... their careers dnt stop in college, these kids eant to make it to the NFL

Alex Smith's had a pretty long career, and if Tebow wouldn't have been so stubborn and switched to H-back, he'd still be in the league. If you're a good athlete, you can be BMOC in college and still play somewhere else in the league. Besides, Bama's QBs haven't set the NFL on fire, either.

He only had Alex Smith for one year, before he left for Florida ... he didnt even recruit him, that was all Ron McBride.... he develops good College QBs... but not NFL caliber

And do you think Smith even gets drafted anywhere near where he did if he doesn't have the success he did under Meyer? Who cares if we don't develop any pro-caliber QBs if we win (and by doing so develop a lot of other positions?) Bama runs a pretty traditional offense, wins, and their QBs don't do crap in the league.

It gets interesting but I'm not getting excited. He just visited Auburn and LSU these past two weekends.

I thought he never would have gave us the time of the day though. So let's see.

I won't be holding my breath. Would be an amazing pull, though. Huge position of need, then we have an all American WR in a year or two lol

Why the **** would someone take a free trip to a school they could easily visit on an unofficial??

He's looking at that QB situation at OSU and going there's no way in **** I'll see the field.

Gibson been to miami countless of times on unofficial visits....This is far from a free trip. He knows Miami only has 1 or 2 scholarship qbs.... And the coaches have told him previously that they run the offense that fits their QB the best at the time.... Meaning if we land Gibson and after kaaya is done at Miami we would run more spread and read option concepts...

Would be a great addition if he chooses us. He will get his shot to prove himself as a QB. And be a lethal decoy split out. Pure athlete, definite take.

Even if he does pick here yall really think golden gonna redshirt this cat? Golden doesn't know redshirts exist.

Kid could be second string the next 2 years and start, unlike at OSU where he will start out at a min 3rd string next year and who knows the next year. Auburn maybe interesting tho.

Torrance Gibson would have been committed already, if Miami ran the spread option.

I am not getting excited, but this makes a lot of sense. Coley can now also claim that the last 3 QB's that he has been associated with are first round picks, and he is now working on his 4th.

RE: Gibson from a heritage source

"He is considering miami but it's low. A good visit can complicate things for him"

Maurice why do you think I mentioned earlier in this thread about Auburn being his best fit? He was very close to going there actually earlier in the process.

Would love to see Gibson out wide with Kayaa under center. Would make for some interesting play calls if you do backward passes to Gibson for him to throw deep to an open WR.

Sean White may be a problem for TG. Big arm. Accurate passer
