For the record, I think Swag and I are just focusing on the fact that even if he does come to UM, it looks like it will be late in the game. The early message board talk was of him possibly jumping on board early and then convincing other guys to come. I guess we are just both disappointed that it's not shaping up like that at this point.

A lot of people read way too much into his yearbook photo in which he threw up The U. And I also think the supposed influence he was going to have over other South Florida elites seems entirely overblown. Cole may flip to UM regardless. Cronk committed to Miami a long time ago and is more concerned with RB numbers than anything else. Other than those two, who else was he supposed to have influence over?

I wonder if Quan and Irvin still plan to attend the same school. I personally view Irvin as the more important recruit because I think he's a better player, but it'd obviously be great to land both. Can't afford to not land either of them.

Ok, i can understand that completely but at the same time I look at how we're doing so far and i dont think we really need that leader especially when the staff has gotten stronger recently. Now by the time he commits and if it's to us you go to believe that will have an impact with others the same way

Some people may be underestimating FSU (I doubt it), but you make it seem the entire other end of the spectrum. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

This, you put it in the best words possible. Pete mentioned too that the staff feels good about landing Jaquan. I've never felt worried compared to others about Jaquan. You pinned it right down.
