If Miami closed down the program who would you root for?

They almost did it once before. That's what worries me. They just happened to find Schnelly or there would be no Miami football right now. I wonder just how long the ACC will put up with this BOT's nonsense. They thought they were getting a big time football program when we came aboard. Instead they got another Wake Forest. Definitely not what they wanted.

How is it not? What has the administration done over the last ten year's which objectively shows they intend to dump the necessary resources into the program to keep it relevant. It is being kept on life support and being run on a budget like those loveable Cleveland Indians in major league.

There is only one reason the administration keeps football alive but in coma. It wants that ACC check every year. Without football, why would ACC want Miami? Miami without football hurts future TV deals -- we are still ratings darling and in major TV market. ACC wants Miami in football and Miami wants ACC paycheck. Other than that, this smuckhead administration will surely continue to kill the greatest brand in sports because it has never been able to take credit for creating that brand. They would rather be known for a bankrupt hospital chain of their own making than a football legend created by kids on their own.

All of the comments in here that recognize the school will do the bare minimum to get that acc check are spot on. What a shame. The ad lurkers that read this board have will have an even tougher sell. In a few years we will be tailgating for those noon chemistry experiments. Atoms v. Neutrons. Who you got?

Don't get me wrong, the most exciting part of a Sat is watching the UM game, but if we lost the program I'd still be glued to the couch every weekend.

the last 2 years have completely killed it for me. I really dont give a ***c about watching the CANES anymore and I'm a 30 year fan. thats how bad Pyrite is.

I gave Randy the benefit of the doubt until FSU 2010, but he was gone shortly after. this situation with Pyrite is unreal

Wait, aren't we all observers? Come on yall, it's not going to happen.. The program is not going to shut down. Let's just hope that sometime in the near future someone grows a sack and get rid of the people that is currently holding back this program. That being said, until that occurs.. I'll watching from home.
 
I would also never stop watching college football. I just love the game too much. I would become a full-time Toledo Rockets fan (if there is such a thing) because I go to school there now. Therefore I hope to God the U never drops football, because who wants to be a full-time fan of a MAC school?
 
FIU - not because I would ever give a flying f*ck about their team, but figure the tailgates would be live and full of very ****** p*ssy.
