Willie Bailey transferring from UF; Miami interested

what is your DB numbers? what is your total schollie numbers?

if the kid wants to come..he has at least a year of **** good S&C, a year of college DB training (and probably above average training)...if he wants to come, can come, what is the harm, especially competition wise. he will definitely be ahead of any hs player or even a RS freshmen when he is available a year from now

imo, it would only make sense to turn him away if there is a numbers issue..whether numbers already on campus or numbers after the incoming class

like someone mentioned, if he does get a free and clear that is kind of a red flag...but then again muschamp is kind of a crazy person with a huge IDGAF personality..so maybe he just doesn't care where the kid goes

It's a numbers game, toke. We can only afford 1-2 Cbs and burns is one. If we don't get rashard Robinson I don't see us taking anymore corners. If finnie were to leave or another cb transferred we could take bailey.

If the staff wants him, then that's good enough for me. I've always thought the "He turned us down the first time so no thanks" way of thinking was a little ridiculous.

Apparently this kid can play but was just too small to put out there in the SEC. 6'1 165 aint tackling an SEC running back.

Janoris was pretty small

Cody riggs is pretty small

I have no clue why he left or if he is any good....but if i had to guess it had more to do with the crowded roster at his position with some more highly touted DB's coming in this class. Very crowded back there right now

won't be shocked if Jeremy Brown hardships and Cody riggs transfers as well

I know why he left... lil brian poole mane. that lil ***** the troof mane...

that and he won't see the field next year over purifoy, watkins, and roberson...and you're right poole is ahead of him as well. And before his injury riggs was in the rotation but I have my doubts he will be next year and possibly transferring as well

I cant believe Cody Riggs gets PT at UF. Dude was TINY in high school.

I wonder if he would count backwards against an earlier class, and not count toward the reduced scholarship numbers, whenever they are imposed. This might be a nice pickup if that happens, since we could get another kid in without being subject to any NCAA limitations. That might factor into the staff's thinking.

So, don't write him off just like that. If he would count backwards, it would be like getting another Juco in.

anybody saying not to take this kid can eat a fat ****.

he instantly upgrades depth in the secondary.

I award all of you no points, and may god have mercy on your souls.

Yeah, I can totally see Musch letting a kid transfer to Miami the offseason prior to out game in '13. GTFOH. Not happening.

This kid will have to sit out a year, when you have sanctions You need to be more efficient with scholarships then less. Do people realize this? Do people realize a normal team is capped and 85 and a team with sanctions has a lower amount? I think some of you truly believe we can take/sign 30 every year.

Even if this kid is allowed to transfer to Miami and get an exception, we have a bunch of CBs here and maybe we land Robinson too.

Fool me once

We'll pass. The last time we took a Gator the program started to slide downhill ala Brock "I suck" Berlin.

Dear lord what a horrendous first post

:diaf:

The board either has to police idiocy or it's going to continue to be degraded. Berlin won a lot of football games for us, and was very efficient in 2004 after what I'd call a shaky year in 2003. Certainly better than any QB we have had here between Dorsey an Morris. Granted, that's not saying much

And you will be the same dude sitting here crying about our depth at another position because we have a bunch of bodies at DB.

Let's also stop pretending this is like every other year.

Dammit people need to think before they post sometimes.

Willie is a little too soft for this defense, and I doubt he has put on enough weight to play right now. Very fluid but lacks the aggressiveness for a defensive player. Not explosive enough for offense.

First he doesn't instantly upgrade **** because he has to sit out a year (unless he gets a waiver). Instant would at least be eligible to play. He is the opposite of instant and in fact he would take away a spot from someone who could instantly play.

Second cut the irrational canes fan some slack. They never think and believe whatever they want. Just kidding, this guy can eat a fat **** himself.

Third there is that stuff about sanctions and losing scholarships.

Solid. Like I said people need to think sometimes before they start blabbering.

I laid out my thoughts in this kid before but I have faith that whether he ends up here or not, it will be for the right reasons.

How on earth can some of you say that he couldn't be a difference maker?! The kid was only a freshman last year, and we have seen how Al and staff can develop players. I don't know if some of you don't realize this, but most freshman don't have a Duke/Deon impact in their first year. This fan base, I swear.

Umm yeah, pretty much the same thing can be said about your POV man. How can you sit there and just assume he is going to make an impact?

Nobody knows which is why some people have chosen to give OTHER forms of thought on the matter, which you obviously don't want to do.

This fan base, I swear.
