They stopped the fight???

WTF??? Diaz was good to go man!

They could've at least gave him another round, that was bull****, he told the Dr he was fine.

Happy for Masvidal, he fought Diaz like ****, he earned that BMF belt, definitely the People's champ.

But Diaz was good to go for another round.

Mas already calling for Part II....

Nate ever the iron block...his words a little more slurred though...

Fighters would tell the Dr they're fine if they had lost an arm.

No problem with that stoppage, that was a really bad cut.

They wouldn’t win because they’re tough, they would win because they’re two totally different events that require totally different training.

It’s like saying Ussain Bolt would make a great marathon runner.

UFC has 5-minute rounds. Fighters train to maximize efforts in 5 minute bursts. The round format also forces fighters to stand up more often.

Vale Tudo (real vale tudo) has no rounds. Fights commonly last an hour with no rest. It’s a totally different endurance system. And when fights go to the ground, they usually stay there.

They are two different sports where athletes train in different ways

This is false. The easiest thing to train for would be to add eye pokes, low blows, rabbit punches, to the ****nal.

No rounds would benefit a UFC fighter whose cardio is massively superior to a street fighter.

If these guys were genetically gifted enough to fight in the UFC they would. They don't have the talent.

You have watched way to much bloodsport and movies like that. In real life those tournaments are a lot less glamorous with a lot more guys that have very little talent.

305 showed out tonight. Masvidal beat the the **** out of Diaz. Not even close. He should have put him down in 1st or 2nd rd. Masvidal dominated.

Ya they really showed out with 2 irrelevant titles. BAMFer belt and the best ACC school in Florida title.

Mas technically dominated for sure...but with the damage, couldnt put Nate away...or even slow him down really...

heart-wise though?

Diaz is a f[]cking lion...

Props to both athletes...

Lets see part II

This is stupid. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

There are different kinds of cardio and conditioning. Different muscke fiber types, and different energy metabolism systems.

But if you didn’t already know that, I’m not going to waste my time educating you when you’re clearly just going to dig your heels anyway.

But you might go research this, if you like fight sports. In the earlier days of MMA, there was a lot of crossover with vale tudo fighters fighting in Pride and UFC events, and some UFC fighters fighting in vale tudo.

The ones who did well were the ones who also competed in Jiu Jitsu, (some ufc fighters used to do both, dont know if they still do) because that’s also an endurance event.

UFC fighters are good at UFC. The carryover to longer endurance events is not that great.

They really fvcked Diaz with that. Masvidals best chance of winning was a KO in the early rounds, which he failed to do. Diaz really needs to get that scar tissue dug out before the rematch to stop him from bleeding so much.
