As of today Manny is not going anywhere. He would need to lose 2 of the next 3 games to be terminated and I don’t see that happening. Needs to win the next 4 or 5 to get me fully back on board. I am impressed how hard the team plays, and hopefully we see that in Tally. Never forget the 2010 FSU game, where the team was listless before the game and FSU came in fired up and destroyed us at home. That was the day I knew Shannon was done.

That's what I was looking for and afraid of.

The statement he made seems to signal that difference in philosophy.

If CMD stays next year, it'd behoove him to make TRob the DC.

If I was TRob, I'd take that chance on a lameduck coach, cause he'd have first time homebuyer status and his stock wouldn't necessarily go down with changes in scheme and current talent producing even marginally better results than CMDs.

I'd be more than okay with that arrangement, cause I think CMD's getting that extra rope.

Chit, I'd be okay with CMD making Ed the DC if Trob bounces or not.

Dudes too arrogant to change the defesnse because he had one decent year; guarantee he wants someone from his coaching "tree" aka himself bc the guy hasnt developed a soul to employ the crappy chaos defense which he believes in.

We got TS and Rambo this year along with King, Phillips, KJ, etc. All difference makers. Bad take.

TRob was straight *** at South Carolina as a DC. Statistically one of the worst in the country.
 
Why is it Manny has made changes to everything in the program, but still thinks this scheme isn’t an issue? He’s not a good HC, but he’s not dumb ( I don’t think). How is he watching this defense week after week and not coming to conclusion this scheme sucks and needs to be changed.

I’ve talked to someone that’s scouted him multiple times this year and said he was a 6/7 rounder early in the season maybe even UDFA if he didn’t test well. He’s looked like he could maybe go 4th right now at best. Early season tape is gonna keep him out of the top 2 regardless of how he plays to close out. He missed his opportunity against the 3 best tests on our schedule.

Of course that’s the opinion of 1 person scouting for 1 team.

Facts

There is always a big ten team that surprises every year whether it's Wisconsin Michigan Iowa and they all play the same. They lose in the end cause of the talent gap the SEC has. The UGA and Bamas will expose them.

I expect peo bowl types but I have different expectations that are probably unrealistic. I grew up seeing dominant and that's what I want. So difference of the view of UM....but I'm definitely unrealistic af....but that's what UM was growing up. It was bama.

Yes, at S. Carolina TRob had some the worst Defensive stats in all of college football. Don't tell this board this FACT because the comments here suggest he should be the DC. Yet, his Safeties and Cornerbacks have been worse than the front 7. How many yards did Pitt put on TRob? Too many.

The problem is Manny has his fingerprints all over this. Manny won't allow T-Rob to do what he wants to do with his boys.
 
Manny would have to win out AND agree to hire a DC that wasn’t a Yes-Man and allowed to run his own system.

Then maybe…but still likely…’No’.
