I thought the Sherriffs hype was over the top last year, and that hype may have moved to Williams this season.
And before anyone gets in their feelings ... I’m not pulling for any specific QB. I just want the best guy to win the job.
But I do remember that the QB line was indicative of the depth chart last year, and I don’t think anything has changed this year.
When another QB is first in line for warm-ups, then I’ll believe Rosier won’t be the starter.
Until then, some of y’all better get with the idea that a 5th year guy still has the ability to improve.
It's not gonna take that much to unseat Malik and I think Williams has enough time between now and the fall camp to make his case. It's all about execution/tempo and I think the coaches would love for someone else to step up. Malik can be insufferable with his low energy and meandering pace.
Obviously just opinion, but I think it will. Rosier has experience. And despite the last 3 games, he's got a good record of showing up when needed. He mostly got his head out of his ahss when we really needed him and that's worth something.
Now, even average accuracy would go a long way towards one of these other guys beating him out, but I assume Richt will place some value in a guy who, though short on accuracy and able to disappear for half the game, showed up enough to win 11 of his 14 starts.
