downfield throws absolutely. Passes that travel 50-70yds though...........With our stable of receivers (or at least their hype), should be many downfield throws.

far as burns goes, while i think he looked great yesterday and feel there's definitely a spot for him hes without question the 4th back at best. Homer is gonna have a **** of a year if whoever wins the qb spot can make the defense respect the pass instead of simply stacking the box. Lo has a ceiling higher than the rest. Reminds me of Willis with his build and explosion. Deejay simply gets in where he fits in. Has a crazy motor and refuses to quit. Great vision. Burns seems to have lost his explosion with the added weight. He runs hard and punishes on contact. For me he may be a 3rd down back of deejay isnt. But none of that is even close to a room of edge, clint, frank & willis. Thats 4 hof (3 for sure). Just take it as it is knowing it's still one **** of a depth chart. Cam is the unknown.
54% is 54% pimp. You can’t win games like that. The jig is up on Rosier; unless he miraculously starts hitting 60+% on his passes, the opposing defenses have nothing to worry about.
I'm not Dee, but I think it's a resounding yes. Not only has he come in early, but he is coming in better prepared and better coached up to this point. Not to mention he has NFL size already, which is something Perry did not have when he got here. Not that Perry NEEDS to be 220 lbs to play at this level, but it sure helps Williams that he doesn't have to worry about adding mass, and the season is 5 months away. Thanks for the info Dee. Do you feel williams has a better chance of winning the job than say Weldon or Perry did last year?
This! MJ getting into teammates during he 72 win season at halftime against non playoff teams cause he said no way were losing to these scrubs. That’s what we need.A great leader doesn’t take a ho hum attitude into Pitt. If he’s a great leader, we aren’t going anywhere.
From what I saw in person Williams LOOKS like the most legit QB we have on the roster and it's not even close. He's impressive looking, especially for a kid who's still supposed to be in high school.
I know some of us don't like to believe in high school recruit rankings and stars but I gotta tell ya, our higher ranked players simply look different than their peers. I can only imagine what teams who are stacked with 4/5 star kids look like in person. We're getting there.
Gil knows his future is at fs but i dont think that happens this year. Al is that cog that remains to be seen in my eyes. My thing is any rotation with redwine & knowles(technically) in the two deep simply means there is 2 big holes to fill... i know im hard on redwine. He was learning a new position & until the acccg the last few he was night and day better. But i just cant get over the angles he takes and having a safety who seems to be afraid of initiating contact. We have head hunters in the stable. Its just a matter of how long will it take to get them game ready.
That’s basically what he said when he visited practice last week. You could see the difference in speed lingard has compared to the other backs pretty muchSo ... how exactly does Lingard look different? Bigger, faster, stronger? I'm hoping you'll say all three.

You can win if you are an exceptional runner like Lamar Jackson or Vick but Malik isn’t close so yea we can’t win like that54% is 54% pimp. You can’t win games like that. Not only that, malik can’t create and extend plays while evading pressure and looking down the field. Williams and Perry can do that really wellYou can win if you are an exceptional runner like Lamar Jackson or Vick but Malik isn’t close so yea we can’t win like that
Based on Brooklyns comments on Kosi and Jarren BEFORE practice started it seemed he made up his mind that he wanted his nephews (Hightower) roomate Jarren William to win the job for obvious reasons.
I'm just pointing this out before it turns into 20 pages of nonsense. Like when he badmouthed Jon Richt Jr because Tai didn't get an offer. Or when he alluded to their being a recruiting mutiny if Sitkowski wasn't shown the door.
We'll see. Either way My prediction stays the same with The qbs getting 10-15% of the Running share, Lingard getting between 15-20%, Homer and Deejay getting 65-70%, and The rest of the RBs getting about 5%.Nah. Deejay aint taking that job from either homer or lo as a starter. **** be the 2 guy for change of pace. Hes around 220 but its definitely not all good weight. Id like to see him if hes at 220 now drop around 8-10 pounds and chisel up. He def needs the added weight and hes running HARD but i think a lil bit less weight will help him with his productivity if that makes sense. I know it may sound like im contradicting myself to some but sometimes even good weight can be a lil too much for specific body types. Hes still a work in progress as far as that goes. Cant wait to see him get it all figured out. Either way love LOVE LOVE the kid as a player and team member. The one thing ive always gave credit to crab legs winston over is hes a born leader (not so much qb). I see alot of those leadership traits in deejay.
lol you really are a special kind of stupid. We’ve now had two absolute morons, @Lexcane and @calinative umstudent, suggest that our second string running back should be the QB in an option offense. Where do these people come from? How are they living, breathing humans?
Not only that, malik can’t create and extend plays while evading pressure and looking down the field. Williams and Perry can do that really well
This is my entire point. If No one wins the job, then the default should go to one of the 3 freshman, not Rosier. The safe bet for the first game of the season is probably Rosier. But the safe bet to put us in the best shot to beat Clemson at the end of the year is that one of the freshman will have grown enough to put us in a spot to win it. Rosier isn't going to grow as the season progresses. He's in his 5th yr now, and regressed like crazy as last season went on. If no one really "wins" the job, then whichever freshman is the most ready needs to start. To be clear thats my concern as well. which im not sure people realize. Thats the only reason he started last year. If they don't separate he'll just go with the safest option being the known commodity. To me that means no one won the job. It was simply gave by default.
Just to be clear I'm not saying it's jarrens job. I'm not even saying one of nkosi or jarren leads over the other. I'm simply giving my outlook and based on what I've seen how i feel it may work out. Don't discount the fact that nkosi has had a year already in this system though. That is a huge factor in itself & should give cmr atleast a lil familiarity towards him for whatever that matters.Richt may have a feeling but yea - midsummer at the earliest I would imagine. A tweet in another thread says Kosi' and not even close. Another tweet saying a Miami source says Rosier and it's not even close, Dee giving his input (which is great) adding color about JW's job to lose. It's kind of all over the place and to me this is more of an indication on the small sample size. But, It seems to me Dee has a bigger sample to go off of.
Lo has parts of his game that are already very impressive. But he's not on travis level yet (and he shouldn't be. Nothing wrong with that) he's gotta work on his blocking and like most freshman patience with his blockers and trusting his vision. I think travis is gonna have a huge year if we get consistent play out of the qb spot.Is Lorenzo Lingard really impressing you right now?
Also how is Travis homer looking this spring? Expecting a big year from him
