I never said it was a "conspiracy" against UM. It has nothing to do with "conspiracy" and everything to do with business. UM is a small school with a smaller alumni and can base. Thus u sell more subscriptions and generate more board traffic by inflating the kids looking at the big schools.
And it's not that a UM commit will always get bumped down or never get upgraded. But if you watch closely, the kids who commit early and shut down their recruiting to UM will usually get surpassed by other kids at bigger schools. The kids taking visits to big programs then get bumped up. Chad disnt get his 5th star til all the talk about him visiting Bama started to pick up.
Kaaya HAD to be bumped up after the kid was invited to elite 11. Was offered July USC and UCLA and won a state championship. Despite all that, look where he is still listed. Smith got his 4th star right around when rumors started that he might take visits.
It's not a conspiracy, it's about hype and business. And its not just against UM but a general bias towards the bigger programs. And it's not an egregious issue where it happens every time or all the time, but there is absolutely a bias towards the bigger programs. Look at Darrion Owens. I am absolutely certain he would be a consensus 4 star on every site had he committed to FSU, Bama or Texas.
This is nothing new and has been going on for years.
