Strong to USF

We screwed!!! Willie Taggart gonna be taking our 4 and 5 stars and Butch and Chuckie Weak gonna be taking everyone else so we'll never have any depth! Game over. Stick a tampon in it cause we done! It's a Hail Mary at best but the only chance now to stay remotely relevant would be to load the staff up with local high school corches. Jesuchristo, some of you are softer than Bret Bielema's 3rd chin.

Taggert is a lot better coach than Strong and just as good a recruiter . This is a downgrade for USF. Watch the decline by USF from Strong after Taggert just built up the USF program
 
Charlie strong has by and large been a bad HC, save for Teddy Bridgewater. Why is anyone concerned?
 
As if USF weren't scary enough, now they have a coach who can use his failures at a major program to recruit against us.
 
Why would Strong give up 10 million. Man I would sit out and work in a booth somewhere calling games.

USF is about his ceiling. He sucks. I don't give a **** if he corches there. I am just happy he is not a DC at a relevant school.

The only program that should be "worried" about Strong at USF is West Virginia, because he'll cut their Fla pipeline off.

This is in no way a threat to Miami... Even with how bad we've been over the last 15 years, our comp down here on the recruiting trail is still Bama, UF, FSU, Oh St, UGA & Clemson...

Strong is a good recruiter, he had back to back top 10 nationally & #1 ranked classes in the Big XII for 2015, 2016 & even most of the Louisville guys in the NFL were his recruits.

But, that's not going to affect us in recruiting... Currently, USF has only 1 or two players I would want on our team now, that's Deatrick Nichols & Rodney Adams, other than that, they're not a program we ever have to worry about regardless of who their coach is.

Taggart having them at 10-2 is the best they can do & they still couldn't beat Temple... That's their ceiling, winning the American.
They'll never be a Nationally recognized team.

didnt they get all the way up to #2 in '05 or '06 ? Arent they currently ranked higher than us ? Not saying Strong will turn them into a nationally reconized team but its not impossible....

Is he going to steal four and five stars away from us? No. But he'll certainly have a shot with some three star, raw, high ceiling guys that our staff will want. They'll have to wait here to develop whereas they can play immediately there.

Any way you look at it, this is not good for Miami. Time will tell if he's just a nuisance or a legitimate thorn in our side.

If the 3 stars we're after are of the mindset of going to where they can just start easy as opposed to the mindset where they think they can beat out the higher rated players, I don't know if we really want that player.

Strong ain't chit without Teddy... Texas proved that. He got lucky as chit. He is a millionaire now. I don't expect his next job will be as an HC but rather a DC / assistant HC.
