Strong to USF

This will be a horrible hire for USF. Unless they can get Bridgewater.

Even Shannon and Golden only had one losing season at Miami apiece. Strong had a losing season all 3 years at UT.

Yeah its bad news. Strong gone clean up all the 3 stars with no offer from miami just like at louisville.
 
I don't know why people are scoffing at the notion that this is bad news. He's a fantastic recruiter.

Is he going to steal four and five stars away from us? No. But he'll certainly have a shot with some three star, raw, high ceiling guys that our staff will want. They'll have to wait here to develop whereas they can play immediately there.

Any way you look at it, this is not good for Miami. Time will tell if he's just a nuisance or a legitimate thorn in our side.

Go ahead and give up 10 million bucks for DOING NOTHING FOR ONE YEAR.

He can recruit 3 stars and he can also have a loosing record 3 years in a row with far more talent that what he will be getting at USF. not worried one bit
 
This guy couldn't hack it with top notch resources, unlimited funds, the best facilities, in super fertile recruiting grounds, in a top 5 brand name p5 program. Only retarded clowns would think he's going to be a threat at a non-p5 shīt show of a school like USF, with no fan base and scant resources.

Get a hold of yourselves, ladies.

The only program that should be "worried" about Strong at USF is West Virginia, because he'll cut their Fla pipeline off.

This is in no way a threat to Miami... Even with how bad we've been over the last 15 years, our comp down here on the recruiting trail is still Bama, UF, FSU, Oh St, UGA & Clemson...

Strong is a good recruiter, he had back to back top 10 nationally & #1 ranked classes in the Big XII for 2015, 2016 & even most of the Louisville guys in the NFL were his recruits.

But, that's not going to affect us in recruiting... Currently, USF has only 1 or two players I would want on our team now, that's Deatrick Nichols & Rodney Adams, other than that, they're not a program we ever have to worry about regardless of who their coach is.

Taggart having them at 10-2 is the best they can do & they still couldn't beat Temple... That's their ceiling, winning the American.
They'll never be a Nationally recognized team.

IDC if bear Bryant is dug up and coach's them, they will forever be nobody's!! Forever!!! Period !!!
 
He recruited good classes at Texas?

Whelp. That settles it. We're ****ed. South Florida is a thriving member of the big 4 and all.

Not really sure how any of us would know that. He was at two places, Florida and Texas, that largely recruit themselves; you don't have to be great to get studs to either. Look at what UF is doing right now.

He had success with Bridgewater at Louisville, but I remember them getting him as a package deal with his WR buddy (but maybe I remember incorrectly). I don't remember Strong killing recruiting at Louisville. I like him a lot, but let's not get carried away.

Strong dumber than I thought. I'd be on the beach chilling for a year Atleast. That buyout money for doing nothing is no joke

Pretty sure he didn't have offset language in his contract. But if he did I could not agree more.
 
Just to add on to my other comment, put this in perspective...

Strong recruited a 3-star RB that eventually turned into a 2,000+ yard rusher & STILL couldn't finish above .500.

He put together back to back Defensive hauls with 4/5-star kids at Texas & couldn't win 6 games in the Big ****** XII LOL!

Do you know how bad a coach you have to be to actually land good Defensive players in that conference & still not win more than 5 games??

He lost to a ****** 1 win Kansas team... A team that didn't win one single game the previous year...

LOL @ anyone worried about Strong at USF...

Also, watch how quickly Herman wins the Big XII, there's literally no excuse for Texas to be that bad with the amount of talent they've hauled in the last 3 classes.
