I think just the opposite. Would Butch do an interview like this if he thought he had a realistic shot at the job? Nah. He'd 'take the high road.' This interview will rile the people whose votes he would need.

It could be either way. We have no way on knowing. If the BOT doesn't want him, Butch is no worse off. If the BOT is just biding their time, Butch is no worse off. Butch has to use his own best judgement on how to finesse the situation.

History has shown that the players can be very influential. For the good of the program, they need to:

1. Lose BIG
2. Lose control - lots of penalties, scuffles, insubordination.
3. Demand a meeting with Flake, asking for Butch (similar to the Coker situation).

What else could you do if he knows he can help while seeing the Family (House) crumbling with NO sight of reversing the gradual but sure destruction.

i have a feeling someone close to the program encouraged butch to speak up. then he got the warm reception at The U part 2 debut and was like ***** it.
 
If pressed watch Golden pretend he knows nothing about butch's comments even though he's a stat, media hoe. Golden is a true fake. I'd have a little more respect for him if he wasn't such a bich. Pretty sure his shoulders are fake too. He prolly take a chit at the mall with the stall door open and his toungu out like Jordan.
 
Butch could have stepped in one day before the Louisivlle game and won the Coastal this season.

He might not assemble the greatest team in the world again, but he would have us playing in meaningful bowl games instantly. I Understand the guys wanting to find that up and coming head coach to lead us, but instant credibility and stability is something that is crucial for us right now.

Lock down South Florida? South Florida recruits are divas and poorly coached. We don't need them according to some of the geniuses around here.
 
They are divas but they also know **** when they see it. I wouldn't send my kid to Miami right now.

Butch doesn't just recruit ballers, he recruits coaches to get the most out of those guys.

I wonder if Butch would have kept Dorito around after fielding the worst defense in program history?

Butch brought Schiano, Chud, and Pagano. Golden brings us Dorito and Jethro.

Even Randy knew when to move on. Hiring the wrong guy is one thing but what kind of egotistical **** doesn't Fire anyone after four years of mediocrity?

Golden is the worst leader I've ever seen.

I've seen some ****** leaders whether it was academics, military, police, construction list goes on.

He coaches like a *****, makes strategic decisions like a ***** and masks it all under excuses like the cloud and "we play to many night games".

Honestly he should just quit and be a ****** psychologist somewhere pilfering happy go lucky progress bull**** on medicated dopes.

imagine how bad we would be w/o duke. i mean last year he single handily won game for us before he broke his ankle. we could hardly beat wake forest.
 
I know sometimes kids are just too out of control and you can't keep them around.

But since Golden got here every player that has been outspoken, aggressive, played with some nastiness has either been kicked off the team or benched. He's turned Tracy Howard from the most intense in your face CB in the country into a boundary corner that sits the bench for wanting to play more. Anyone daring to question Fat Al and his bull**** will suffer his wrath. Such a complete ***** he can't even handle a teenager stepping up.
