Shots fired! Butch putting it on AL

i have a feeling someone close to the program encouraged butch to speak up. then he got the warm reception at The U part 2 debut and was like ***** it.

Am thinking (and hoping) this is what is really going on behind the scene. Butch spoke so bluntly about this program that I have to believe he was encouraged to do so.

I'm excited to see one of the few remaining Golden Girls come in here and shlt on Butch.

The man solely responsible for giving Miami a few years of significance in the modern era will be dismissed to prop up their savior.

Anyone who supports Golden still is too dumb for society and should kill themselves.

Butch would crush it here.

Crush it.

He would come in and ASSEMBLE a COMPETENT staff. He would also LET THEM ****ING COACH instead of undermining them. See Coley.

He would revamp the culture, make outstanding evaluations in recruiting and have us playing competent defense.

It's a ****ing no brainer.

You wanna "lock down" South Florida. Bring in Butch Davis.

Butch doesn't just recruit ballers, he recruits coaches to get the most out of those guys.

I wonder if Butch would have kept Dorito around after fielding the worst defense in program history?

Butch brought Schiano, Chud, and Pagano. Golden brings us Dorito and Jethro.

He even had Stoops that is turning around Kentucky right now as our a secondary coach. Our secondary coach right now couldn't turn around a ******* middle school girls kickball team

I thought Paul Williams was going to be a good one. He had two freshmen safeties making plays even though they never played the position (Deon, Jenkins). But the secondary should have been the strength this year. It was underwhelming. Is that a product of the DC? I dunno. All I know is that our defense is loaded with 4 and 5 star guys and they still look like ****.

burns and carter look lost. they are aggressive kids, play makers naturally but are stuck in this crappy scheme. they are being ruined.

Paul Williams is HORRENDOUS
Everyone on the staff should be fired IMO. All of them.

All this recruiting crap is bull****. All these clowns pining for TRob are shortsighted. Any coach worth a **** could recruit south florida like a boss. You don't need to cut coaching corners to aid recruiting if you can field a good team.

Disagree I would keep Brown and Ice along with Baez and Beard

Don't forget Art Kehoe, the man made some **** good lemonade out of bruised lemons this year in patching together that offensive line with true freshman an 1st time starters!!

But in the end I doubt the BOT/ AD will fire Al Golden. I don't think though that this added pressure and public condemnation of his staff will force Golden to make some position coaching changes. If Golden through self reflection finally realized he is at a coaching cross roads, an decides to change his scheme philosophy an also brings in some quality position coaches that would be willing to stay at UM for at least 3 yrs I think he could turn things around drastically next year. I am talking ACC Championship Game turn around.

Looking at the article from an unbiased position one could ask the question in 4 years at North Carolina, which of Butch Davis's assistants went on to be Coordinators or Head Coaches. The answer to this question would substantiate that what Butch did at Miami was not just a once in a life time lighting in a bottle event.

Go Canes

Ice and Brown were here before Golden. Ice was brought back as a desperate measure. I think all these guys would have a shot to stay around but Butch is bringing in some great coaches.

Couldn't agree more

You only keep kehoe if u can't get an NFL type guy here....I'd get rid of everyone personally. They all pretty much suck.

Who on the current roster would Butch have recruited? Very few. I don't see many in Butch's mold of smart, NFL-bodied, ultra-competitve players who are leaders of men.

Here's the difference.

Butch doesn't just recruit great athletes. Butch DEVELOPS leadership. In his players, in his coaches, in his assistants.

I'd love to see how many of our current recruits would have been stars had they had been developed as leaders under the Grand Master.

It would be a completely different team.

If Butch gets here I can tell you Demetrius Jackson and Chad Thomas would leave first rounders.

Easily.

The problem with your thought here is that a team needs to have some success before coaches start getting offered jobs elsewhere. At UNC Davis was in year 4 and that team was about to blow up. They had 8 projected potential first rounders at one point and I believe 13 starters were suspended for x number of games, many of which for the whole season. If the NCAA issue didn't happen when it did, that team was going to be really good that year and his coaches would have been picked up again.
