I think just the opposite. Would Butch do an interview like this if he thought he had a realistic shot at the job? Nah. He'd 'take the high road.' This interview will rile the people whose votes he would need.

It could be either way. We have no way on knowing. If the BOT doesn't want him, Butch is no worse off. If the BOT is just biding their time, Butch is no worse off. Butch has to use his own best judgement on how to finesse the situation.

History has shown that the players can be very influential. For the good of the program, they need to:

1. Lose BIG
2. Lose control - lots of penalties, scuffles, insubordination.
3. Demand a meeting with Flake, asking for Butch (similar to the Coker situation).
 
This administration should finally get it's head out of it's collective *** after we get waxed in the Ducks *** bowl by a SouthfugginCarolina team that's coached by a guy who has an "I'd Rather Be Golfing" bumper sticker on his pickup truck, and do the right cot**** thing.
 
Jesus, the more things I see the more annoyed I get. THE SOLUTION IS SMACKING US IN THE FACE, BUT OUR **** AD AND BOT CAN'T SEE THAT
 
Bottom line, ALfraud has been recruiting (poorly) off of Butch's success and has failed miserably.

Why settle for the fraud fake when you can have the original?

The BOT is currently negotiating with Butch's agent. Al is done at the end of the bowel game.

No sauces were harmed.

been saying the talent isn't Miami caliber.........75% of these guys butch wouldn't recruit at all. The team would look more like Louisville last year and with better talent.

This!!! And it is so ******* maddening. How can the BOT just sit on its hands, and allow this program to continue to spiral into complete irrelevance when the proven savior is right there and willing to bring us back to national prominence? WTF!?!?

And it's not the school-boy character that Golden raves about. It's kids who have not a ******* thing in the world but a desire to be the best, and the commitment to foster that desire with relentless work in S Fla heat and humidity.

Irvin, who came from the poorest of families, exemplified that work ethic throughout his entire college and NFL career.
