Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep quarterback Brandon Wimbush is one of the top uncommitted signal-callers in the country, but it stay that way for long. The Top247 member is hoping to decide in the next month.

Wimbush plans to decide soon.

"I'm looking to actually make my decision in three weeks or a month or so," he said. "So maybe I'll get my top five out in a couple of weeks. Penn State, Ohio State, Miami, then Boston College and Virginia Tech are recruiting me the hardest right now."

The decision will likely come on the heels of a visit to Ohio State in the next couple of weeks.

"I was trying to get back down to Ohio State with my head coach to see that again," he said. "That will be two weeks or so from now.

"I like the Buckeyes program and coach Meyer, he's a great guy and a **** of a coach. If I go to him, I know I'll win."

Wimbush boasts an offer list that consists of 17 schools. He has visited four programs and are still evaluating him as a prospect.

"I've been to Penn State, Ohio State, Miami and Virginia Tech," he said. "Michigan came to see me throw yesterday, and they have to get back to me. Stanford is coming out next Thursday to see me throw and we'll be in touch."

Penn State sent two assistant coaches to New Jersey last week to watch Wimbush work out. He said that he's taken notice of the Nittany Lions' hot start on the recruiting trail.

"Just the energy around the program right now," he said. "It's the hot spot out there. They have about 11 commits, so it's awesome right now."

Wimbush visited Miami in February, and said that the Hurricanes are still a serious contender because of offensive coordinator James Coley.

"I feel like coach Coley is probably one of the coolest quarterback coaches in the country," he said. "I get along very well with him, so our relationship is in good standing."

We are still in the top 3 for Wimbush but I don't see us landing him.

We might not like tiano he's going to need an amazing camp for him to be a take. I expect more qb offers to come during spring eval

Like you, I don't see Wimbush coming here. Gonna need them spring evals, because it is a major drop off too Tiano. Would be a major fail imo too end up with him.

Love this kids game, but unfortunately he will end up at Taint. Ped state running second bc of family tries. Diva heading to Auburn will leave us 0-2 on our QB board. Need to get on some1 ASAP. Maybe sunshine or Tiano

I'm with ya. I just feel if he announces soon, it's Taint. If it drags out... Ped city

In the end, it'll be OSU or PSU, and my guess is the latter.

There's no coincidence that we've been hot on Tiano and the kid from Gillman school - it's because coaches know we're striking out with Gibson and Wimbush,.

Him over Gibson as a QB any day. Likely going to PSU though. Franklin is going to make Jersey a little tougher for Golden.

OSU -- with Miller and Guiton gone after this season, he can walk into Columbus and play almost immediately.

PSU -- will have to wait 2 years, because I think Hack will play through his senior season.

Stanford -- IF he gets an offer from them - my God they're going to be insane.

Miami -- Golden has to win some big games for Miami to even have a chance. If he starts off slow, his job security might come into question and the class could fall apart. You won't get or keep any out of state commits when your head coach's job security is in question.

He's deciding in one month...I predict OSU
