I don't believe that. Richt isn't going to pull him unless he absolutely has to & just throwing picks in a game won't be enough. Richt said in that video the only game where Malik couldn't hit his targets was Pitt. That to me lets me know he doesn't really care if Malik didn't play well in several other games because we won, Va Tech for example.
That's what I was alluding to in some of my comments yesterday, Richt is sticking with Rosier no matter what, because if he benches him too quick it defeats the purpose of starting him in the first place.
Richt knows better than I do & I have no problem being wrong. If he thinks Rosier gives us the best chance to win then I'm fine with that, I hope he's right. But I don't see any of the other QB's playing a lick this season, except for maybe late 4th quarter vs Savannah St. & maybe FIU.
The QB competition is for QB2, not for the starter.
If Perry or Williams plant their flag in the next five months, Rick won’t ignore it. He’s going to play the guy he thinks gives him the best chance to win. Right now, that’s Rosier. That doesn’t meant it will be Rosier in Arlington and beyond. The light could come on for Perry or Williams could come charging.
It’s up to them. They can accept second place, or do what’s necessary to be the starter.
If one of those guys starts outperforming Rosier in the practices and scrimmages, we’ll know it.
I don’t believe QB1 is settled. Unless you think neither of those guys has what it takes to beat out Rosier.
Are you SERIOUS...are you telling the fans, who finally got a chance to see with their on eyes that #12 has outperformed the others in this camp and scrimmages/spring game. Are you telling us fans that #12 gives us the best chance to win going into this upcoming season when our depth on D is too thin for a bunch of 3 and outs in the simmering heat of the season. There's a very HUGE difference between having understanding of a coaches philosophy and executing and performing on gameday. Who's to say that the philosophy is not flawed and that a simplified scheme with elite talent wouldn't be the better way to go. How do you blame the D for giving up 20+ points and 400yds a game if they're tired and frustrated every wknd. The freaking walk-ons gone get some burn on D this season bc we don't have the depth.
CMR all but told us he's ride or die with #12. I don't believe any of the others can waver his decision in spite of their growth over the summer. Im not taking shots at you for this but you were making it seem as though CMR decision was performance-based and I totally disagree from that angle. It is what it is now, we can be true CANES and ride out or bounce.
