No he will not, he has the same record as Richt in his fist few seasons at UGA, the only thing different is that he went to a natty. That being said, Kirby did not have to build up UGA, he inherited a pretty good college team that had good talent, the only thing he has done is recruit at a higher level. He still has a leadership problem, and from the looks of it, that problem will not be fix anytime soon. Like I said, UGA has reached its peaked, it's all down hill from here.

It’s well known UGA doesn’t care about there players. The graduation rate for African American football players is 41% yet these money hungry parents still send their kids there!

So checking out the UGA 247 board, rumor is Stevenson mouthed off to a cop. Had to get the last word in or argued or something like that. They blame the cops, of course. Lots of interesting chatter about "racism' and the local police force, too. Hmmm.... Most think Kirby will handle it internally and there may not even be a suspension.

Richt went 32-8 his first 3 yrs at UGA
Smart has gone 32-10 his first 3 yrs at UGA

Richt went 8-4 in yr 1
Smart went 8-5 in yr 1

Richt went 13-1 in yr 2
Smart went 13-2 in yr 2

Richt went 11-3 in yr 3
Smart went 11-3 in yr 3

Both coaches have gone 2-1 in their bowl games in their first 3 yrs

Both coaches have won the SEC outright in their 2nd yr, and won the SEC East in the latter 2 yrs of their first 3 yrs

The only difference is that Smart played for a Nat’l championship in yr 2, but it would be argued that if a playoff existed during the 2002 season, UGA might be in that same boat.

It’s actually quite eerie how MR & Smart’s coaching tenure have mirrored each other’s.

So to put it bluntly, yes, this has been accomplished before. I think we, including myself, overreacted to Smart b/c of all the “stars” he was pulling in and he played for a National Championship. But breaking down the #’s, Smart hasn’t done anything that Richt didn’t do his first 3 yrs. It’s almost identical and the only difference is Smart has lost a little more games due to scheduling.

Imagine that happening here. One of our players mouth off to a City of Miami cop (and actually avoids getting shot or tasered). Kid is arrested. Rumors emerge of Manny "the son of a former mayor" handling it "internally".

eSECpn would be on campus with by this afternoon and Ol' Pawl would lead his show with "Is the NEW Miami really just the OLD Miami?"

For everybody saying he'll be in the portal in 2yrs, Manny is not gonna take a portal guy with legal issues.

Gerald Willis and Bubba Bolden got into trouble but neither one ever got arrested. Tyrique gonna mess around and end up at Fort Scott Community College.

As long as Saban is breathing air from this earth, Kirby Smart will never sniff a National Title. He’ll have to go undefeated just to avoid playoff elimination if he loses to Saban in the SEC championship, and on top of that he has Dabo and Lincoln Riley to worry about, and he better hope that Jimbo, Manny or Mario don’t get the ball running for their programs.
 
Manny will not sit idly by and take the high road when other schools negative recruit against us.
Manny will have no problem letting mommas know their kids don’t need to leave Miami to avoid trouble and are more likely to get in trouble elsewhere. What is our arrest record vs these other schools?
