Why is this such a big deal?
Some irony in thatSpeaking of lululemon, UCF, UF, and FSU all have lululemon collabs, but UM doesn't. We women keep getting screwed!
Carry on.
Because shaq is using up all their budget on **** eaters in the wnba like brick baby angel reese for one. For two if we'd even consider tying on to that dumpster fire I'm gonna do like will farrell and repeatedly streak to the kfc cause it's end days for realThis isn’t my field of expertise. But here’s my question. Why wouldn’t Reebok jump back into the game and make Miami their flagship program in this new era? Something like a 10-year $350m

I get the complaints about the adidas gear, and Nike is definitely considered the premier brand.
But our uniforms from 2000-2015 were mostly garbage. Adidas was a breath of fresh air when they took over.
I don't usually find much to agree with on here. But in house the common sentiment was Nike was just ****ting on us by that point. That doesn't mean now or ever that I been a fan of Adidas. It's me, we're back with Nike along time ago. Even with them considering us and afterthought for a minute there.Highly disagree.
2000-2002 r literally & universally known as Miami’s best unis.
2004 is one my favorites, albeit it’s controversial
2014 was a very well received uniform, including the viral video of the players going HAM.
Now, w/ that said, Miami had some ugly jawns in this period, as well, namely
The mismatched shoulder pads
The radioactive orange
It also didn’t help that they players chose FAMU Temu, either.
Now let’s look at Adidas unis:
•2015 The Flamingos
•2015 The High School Miami Silvers
•2016 The Strawberry Patch No Collars
•2018-2021 The V
•2019 The Aqua Blue & Tangerine Orange Trash
•2021 The Futbol Off White & Pine Green Maze
•2025 The 7-11 Markets
•2026 The camo green that bled into the TV
Bro, yes they stepped up in both material in aesthetics in 2024, but let’s dial it back on the breath of fresh air.
Adidas is loading the market with money trying to force Nike out. Schools don't pick the best material, they pick the best contract."A&M, Penn St, Nebraska, Washington, Tennessee, Kansas all other adidas schools. Utah is moving to 3 stripe along with a few others."
Apparently they haven't gotten the message that adidas "uniform technology" is bad
People outside the program make this claim. But people inside these programs obviously don't seem to agree.
I was hoping for British Knights or LA GearWe may as well go with Skechers if that’s the case
Sure. That 2/3rds has a cash-value though.Two-thirds of these apparel deals are NON-CASH.

OK, so @Hufftwoseven asked my thoughts. Well, we’re in a weird situation.
Let me preface this by saying that I fully expect us to re-up w Adidas. A while ago I said based upon what I was informed, it made me feel very uneasy & stated I felt it was 75% Adidas / 25% Nike. I will now say 85% Adidas / 15% Nike just b/c I know who’s involved.
Now, here’s y I say this is a weird situation:
•Back in 2015, we signed a “monumental deal” w/ Adidas making us the “Flagship of Adidas” in The ACC.
•2 yrs later (this is important), UL’s deal trumped ours
•2 yrs later, KU’s deal trumped ours
•3 yrs later, UW’s deal trumped ours
But here’s the kicker, Texas A&M decided not to do a long term deal w Adidas; they took a 5 yr deal that expires the same exact day as us.
Here’s what’s interesting:
1. Adidas spent a ****, & I mean a **** ton of $$ to both PSU & UTenn.
2. UL, TAMU, & Miami all r expiring around the same time.
3. Allegedly, Adidas wants in on Utah now, whose contract ALSO expires at the same time as us & TAMU.
As I said yrs ago, signing the 12 yr deal was going to bite us in the *** due to being outdated & now….coming off our best season since 2002, here we r having to compete w TAMU, Adidas potential overpay for Utah, & UL.
So it’s going to be interesting.
Lastly, as I check Miami x Adidas branded merchandise via Adidas: 23
Miami x Adidas via Fanatics: 106
FSU via Nike: 97
FSU x Nike via Fanatics: 335
UF x Nike/JB via Nike: 131
UF x Nike/JB via Fanatics: 292
Then there’s this
There’s also this little habit of Adidas:
At the end of the day, what’s going to happen is going to happen, & it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
I think we will by far be Adidas #1 priority going forward. Which is why I think we will get best offer from them.
This is just magical thinking.
You have zero basis for saying this. In fact, you have evidence AGAINST this statement, like adidas rushing out to give Louisville a better deal, even though we had a most-favored-nations clause.
Sure. That 2/3rds has a cash-value though.
Our current uniforms are the best we’ve probably ever had. The last few years of Nike they gave us quite a few duds. I remember the last version of their uniforms had that orange stripe on the pants that was all faded out and it looked like our guys were playing in three year old uniforms that had been through the wash too many times. Whoever makes our gear going forward should just stick to what works and keep the current uniform.I get the complaints about the adidas gear, and Nike is definitely considered the premier brand.
