What's next, are you going to declare bankruptcy?
OK, so @Hufftwoseven asked my thoughts. Well, we’re in a weird situation.
Let me preface this by saying that I fully expect us to re-up w Adidas. A while ago I said based upon what I was informed, it made me feel very uneasy & stated I felt it was 75% Adidas / 25% Nike. I will now say 85% Adidas / 15% Nike just b/c I know who’s involved.
Now, here’s y I say this is a weird situation:
•Back in 2015, we signed a “monumental deal” w/ Adidas making us the “Flagship of Adidas” in The ACC.
•2 yrs later (this is important), UL’s deal trumped ours
•2 yrs later, KU’s deal trumped ours
•3 yrs later, UW’s deal trumped ours
But here’s the kicker, Texas A&M decided not to do a long term deal w Adidas; they took a 5 yr deal that expires the same exact day as us.
Here’s what’s interesting:
1. Adidas spent a ****, & I mean a **** ton of $$ to both PSU & UTenn.
2. UL, TAMU, & Miami all r expiring around the same time.
3. Allegedly, Adidas wants in on Utah now, whose contract ALSO expires at the same time as us & TAMU.
As I said yrs ago, signing the 12 yr deal was going to bite us in the *** due to being outdated & now….coming off our best season since 2002, here we r having to compete w TAMU, Adidas potential overpay for Utah, & UL.
So it’s going to be interesting.
Lastly, as I check Miami x Adidas branded merchandise via Adidas: 23
Miami x Adidas via Fanatics: 106
FSU via Nike: 97
FSU x Nike via Fanatics: 335
UF x Nike/JB via Nike: 131
UF x Nike/JB via Fanatics: 292
Then there’s this
There’s also this little habit of Adidas:
At the end of the day, what’s going to happen is going to happen, & it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
I'm Currently just wondering if you are actually so **** dumb you think I've been arguing otherwise lmao.Finally...years later...
...Calidip**** finally acknowledges the existence and importance of a thing called "royalties".
And, no, you don't need to "do the math". Those of us who know the industry can tell you right off the bat, 15% is an incredibly generous royalty in this industry.
Again, Miami could have had a 15% royalty with Nike if we had just stayed. But Beta Blake engineered the exit by shafting his players on uniforms and equipment and then blaming Nike.
As I've said from the beginning of this thread (and others): BET ON YOURSELF. Then, when your idiot conference changes the rules to "success payouts", make a run to the CFP Final. Think of the money we would have made last year selling Nike merch during a CFP run and an NCAA Tournament run.
Finally, we no longer have to listen to Calidip**** telling us how Miami should have taken the "guaranteed annual lump-sum payout"...
Like it’s hilarious you don’t know how dumb that sounds that you can’t do simple math. Total = Initial payment + Xequipment + Yroyalties * sales. If our expected sales (based on inside info or historical sales rankings) under Nike were enough to make the total money received more, then we would have received more money.
Stop lying.
Nobody has "insulted" you. I have mocked your terrible arguments because you refuse to acknowledge the truth of what others have presented and you continue to repeat the false claims that Beta Blake made 8 years ago. Plus you continue to lie by claiming that @Rellyrell and I said things that we never actually said.
I'm sorry that I find so much humor in the style in which you tell your lies. Such as your newfound religion with "but the adidas contract is too long". Suuuuure. For seven years you had NO PROBLEM with the length of the adidas contract, and then as...
Nah I just bought some $SPCXWhat's next, are you going to declare bankruptcy?
full list of nil high school guys
Thanks for answering my question.
Because shaq is using up all their budget on **** eaters in the wnba like brick baby angel reese for one. For two if we'd even consider tying on to that dumpster fire I'm gonna do like will farrell and repeatedly streak to the kfc cause it's end days for real
I don't usually find much to agree with on here. But in house the common sentiment was Nike was just ****ting on us by that point. That doesn't mean now or ever that I been a fan of Adidas. It's me, we're back with Nike along time ago. Even with them considering us and afterthought for a minute there.
Why is this such a big deal?
I do understand that..but I mean, it is what it is..whats the point in being so emotional.Because the details matter. The right partnership will upgrade/elevate your brand.
Nike has the capacity to take our brand to places Adidas doesn't.
Very few AND NOW, we got a goon at the top of the tree. That ain't Mario I'm talkin bout. Are those people still "in house"?
It's hard to demand respect when you don't respect yourself.
@Rellyrell , 3 stripe’s defective too? What Ahmmon said on the pod today about Adidas footwear was interesting. He said he thinks Adidas cleats are the reason he started getting hamstring injuries, and he is interested in seeing Nike school v. Adidas school injury reports. It's a great listen.
