The great part of being objective, I mean a mope, is that losses like last night don’t change my outlook on the season. We are a meh 8-4 maybe if things go bad good 7-5/9-3 team. We are still that. Nothing has changed, we were just reminded 1) Mario is a terrible game day coach and 2) many over reacted to our first 4 games. Onto UNC
Pretty spot on

Tbh it’s why I’ve been celebrating so ******* hard. Because I really felt I needed to appreciate it while I could

Not that it matters with the botched call not taking the knee, but Mario and Dawson IMO screwed up the last offensive play of game too not throwing a hail Mary in the end zone to Young or someone that can jump and have a chance to catch it. Wtf! Worst coaching blunder ever with not taking a knee and horrendous last 2 min of game coaching.

That was absolutely a mind blowing blunder as well.

Not a big drinker these days but the tequila flowed last night. I woke up today praying that last night was just a bad dream, but realized it was an unmitigated nightmare.

I've been following this team since 83 and have been lucky enough to see the greatness. I understand programs go through down cycles, but we must have sold our souls at some point because losses like this should never happen. It's baffling.

I can't imagine what's going through the heads of these players right now. Their own coaches failed them, from start to finish. And of course what are the croots thinking. We'll get that answer soon enough and I don't see that working in our favor.

Gonna take the rest of the season from a distance. The horizon looks dark right now.

If you missed it, we get a first down with 1:55 left, I know you know your time management being a football fan so under 2 minutes with clock running and GT having 1 timeout and us having 3 downs the GAME IS OVER, Mario can take 3 knees and the GAME IS OVER, he has 3 chances to count the time and ALL THREE CHANCES HE RUNS THE BALL. This is beyond malpractice and I think he can be fired with moral clause. We called it out in game thread, on first 2 times but even if his caveman brain cant process, its under 40 secs on last play and the announcer is SCREAMING TAKE A KNEE, Mario is still running up the middle

The best ever passed incomplete, ran, ran, passed incomplete just yesterday. Not a single kneel down. Even the best make stupid decisions. Heck, Texas A&M didn’t have a timeout while GT had one.

In the last 26 seconds, this is the list of errors it took for us to lose:

1. A $8 million dollar HC unaware that he could kneel to win the game

2. Refs missing Chaney’s elbow was down and it wasn’t a fumble

3. Couch trying to play hero ball and go for a pick instead of batting it down

4. Our All American safety abandoning his deep zone and allowing a WR to get over the top for the score.

Wouldn’t have believed all 4 if I didn’t watch it live
Jumping right to #3.

GT’s previous 3 drives:
4 plays, 6 yards
4 plays, 13 yards (INT)
3 plays, -6 yards

Why go ultra- conservative “prevent”?
Our base D was playing great and getting pressure.

We should stuck with that with the LB’s and DB’s playing softer.

I'm sitting at a brunch counter having a double bloody mary...after 1.5 bottles of wine last night and still can't wrap my head around losing like that.

And Guidry who has done a nice job, we generate ZERO pressure on QBs. He blitzed late in the fourth and generated some on back to back possessions but this **** needs to stop - we need to hit these QBs early and we just aren’t. Can’t just keep saying oh a true freshman is held every play or else we would have a million sacks.

The problem is this will keep being a problem because Cristobal isn't able to fix it with recruiting. QB is shaky? Do we have a 5 star QB waiting in the wings? No, we have Williams and Judd. How many times have fans said, "We'll get a portal QB" like the best ones aren't going to pick another a program.

How about pressure up the middle from the DTs, which can wreck offenses? We went 0 for 4 with the top 10 DTs and it McCray says no, it will be 0 for 5. And again the Cristo-bros say, "Don't worry, we'll get a DT from the portal." And if that doesn't work, "Don't worry, Big Joe is a better recruiter than he gets credit for and Highsmith will find the underrated 3 stars."

I fear we're going to sitting here in 2026 complaining that UM can't generate any pressure from the interior DL and that UM doesn't have a championship caliber QB.

I would have hope if I could see that Cristobal is addressing the problems. But for the 2nd cycle in a row, I don't think Cristobal has made any improvements in recruiting those two areas.

And lastly, if Cristobal is building a new culture, then why are players still chirping after making tackles? Yes the refs should have let it go, but Flagg should have just done his job and walked back to the huddle. The constant penalties, special team miscues, etc are largely due to poor coaching.

All that said, it's not over for Cristobal. It just means the suck tax is now sky high. Money can fix most of the problems. Scotts mom wants him near home? Then try doing it the Bama way with Tua and moving the entire family and setting them up with no show jobs. High school kids will look past a lot if they have the chance to be filthy rich.

[BGCOLOR=initial]I've done all I [/BGCOLOR][BGCOLOR=initial]can with supporting the program. I am not rich enough to give millions to NIL. Now it's up to the billionaires who insisted that Cristobal was the right coach to clean up this train wreck, and to UM to find ways of shifting more money to recruiting. If that means taking 50 million from UM Hospital profits and moving it to NIL, then do it. I want to see the school and the donors put so much money towards recruiting that Cristobal can't fail. Not even close to the same thing. And he absolutely eviscerated Milroe for that pass. There is no comp for what we witnessed.

Did Leonard Taylor play in the second half at all? I didn’t see him whatsoever it was mostly Gore in his spot. Wasn’t sure if he got banged up or just pulled

How can anyone take him seriously moving forward? The guy is just a big dumb animal.
he can just play the elbow being down over and over and say we were robbed just like alot of analysts are.

he is better off admitting they were trying to get chaney 100 yards. just say the kid has been injured and we wanted him to hit 100 yards.

He did not want TVD to get an interception to hurt his stats. That is the only logical explanation
