He did not want TVD to get an interception to hurt his stats. That is the only logical explanation
Who cares if you don't win the game? That's the whole point. Stats don't mean **** if you don't win. I just think our coaching was horrendous.

Not even close to the same thing. And he absolutely eviscerated Milroe for that pass. There is no comp for what we witnessed.

Just because the end result was different does not mean Saban didn’t F up as much or more than Mario. Those play calls weren’t needed, Bama could have been in the V formation. They were 1&10 with 2mins and Texas A&M having 0 time outs. GT had a timeout left!

I’m not a Mario slurper. Said 7-5 before the season because Mario needs more talent and the staff is new. Did Mario and Co F up? Yes, 100%. That said, my point stands. Saban has made plenty of stupid game management mistakes including yesterday vs Texas A&M.

Two of the most bitter losses I’ve seen in the past 5 months between last night and game 6 of the eastern conference finals

At least that you could rationalize and it ultimately came out in the wash in game 7

I can’t comprehend what I watched last night
Yep. Thought about that last night. I got see both live. At least with the heat we won game 7. Idk where this goes.

I didn’t want to post any real thoughts directly after because it would be nothing but reactionary and emotional. But after some time to dwell I’ll go ahead a predict losses to UNC and Clemson and the team folding after that limping their way to 6-6 at best. At that point I’ll never want to hear another word from this *** clown about culture, toughness, or resilience.

I’ve defended Mario, I wanted him to succeed, quite frankly he needed to for the sake of the program………but he, along with the rest of the coaching staff, have completely lost my trust or any goodwill built to start the year. I have zero faith he or this program will bounce back from this, it’s over.

40,40,40=2 minutes Bama wins. Zero need to pass or run especially since Texas A&M had zero timeouts and kneeling takes a couple seconds along with the 40 second play clock.

1:22 left with GT having a timeout.
40/40/40 still is likely enough but there is 4 additional seconds to worry about.

We lost. It hurts. No, I'm not over it yet. Yes, I've felt this way tooooooooo many times over the years after watching "my Canes" blunder.
This game, nor any of our games, wins and losses, do not define me. I'm blessed with a great family and other things that are more important than this program that I truly love.
Hoping our staff and players are bitter and disappointed and upset for about 24 hours then are able to flip the switch and play with a healthy rage the rest of the season. I hope my CIS brethren have a great week. That said:
F UGA
F Florida
F Ohio State
F FSU
F Notre Dame . . . And all the others. Go Canes 🏈!!!

And lastly, if Cristobal is building a new culture, then why are players still chirping after making tackles? Yes the refs should have let it go, but Flagg should have just done his job and walked back to the huddle. The constant penalties, special team miscues, etc are largely due to poor coaching.
They could have called us for numerous unsportsmanlikes in each game we've played. Mostly of them on James Williams.

One last thought…..

Amidst a ugly game we could at least be talking about how the team got the ball back with a little under 6 minutes and put that thing on ice and never gave GT another chance

Mind numbingly stupid

Not nearly as upset as I was last night, but still annoyed. That said, the sun rose this morning, no one in my circle died, life goes on. I hope that the leaders on this team uses this as a moment to bring the team together. It broke my heart to see Don on the sidelines, that young man didn't deserve that, he deserves a coaching staff that doesn't set him up to fail. Matt Lee, X, those dudes are ****ed, you can see it. They need to bring that anger to every practice this week and every game going forward. Even though I have my doubts, I wouldn't be shocked if this team comes out and is emotional as **** Saturday. The UNC game will tell us a lot about this team, and about Mario. Miami comes out and plays well, maybe we can make peace with this stupid loss. If they lay an egg, then we are likely looking at another lost tenure.

The staff is new bc he screwed up his entire 1st year staff.
How much more talent can you ask for? The Blue Chip Ratio is top-10 in the country. What is GT's?

Top 12 and has been that for 20 years with under performing players for 20 years.

I’m willing to give this staff multiple years to develop and improve,

I'm still sour and shocked. It was like the perfect storm of thing's to go wrong that are such low odds to even happen. Felt like some **** voodoo curse. ****!
C' mon Mario beat the Tarheels next Saturday and get this bad taste out of our mouths!

Do we think now that Mario knows we know he’s not the smartest guy in the room that we can get back to having injury updates?

It’s was overall a unfun bad experience. It was one game. I’m a Miami fan and some of you are showing your rounded shoulders.

TVD played as bad as I’ve seen from him. I think the hype got to him and he tried pressing and fitting in some throws he should’ve checked down. Poor patience on offense.

The refs were as bad as I’ve seen since the miracle Duke game but we weren’t away. They were worth 17-21 points.

Mario should’ve put his foot down and say knee it. Yes.
Don Chaney was down a the refs saying the uniforms the ball and Don are too dark for them to tell he had possession is insane. He didn’t lose possession until his shoulder was down.
If you’re solely focused on spazzing at Mario because you never liked him then go root for ole miss.

What team shows up for unc will be the first time to see how much culture has improved. They’ve shown they can take a punch and keep fighting but they got knocked down with that game, can they get back up.

His sideline demeanor is atrocious.

That last drive, when we got the first down, it should've been nothing but high fives all around. We were tested in that we survived ourselves (specifically TVD) but still won.

Instead, he was Mario. He looked lost sweating out an easy kneel to victory. Standing right next to the guy calling the plays. What a joke.

Even if you thought they could get the ball back somehow, why would you be worried? The defense played lights out all game.

I had to watch the game on my phone and don’t have detailed thoughts, but my wife isn’t talking to me this morning and my head hurts. This sucks.

We all expected Mario to blow a game because of gameday blunders. But it didn’t need to be a national humiliation.

The UNC game just became the most important game in years. There is a real risk that the team loses trust in Mario after a botch like that. A loss can send the season off the rails. A win gets us back on an upward trajectory.

Salute to all the maniacs who still care after a loss like that. We are the college football version of Job. Hopefully, it will all be worth it one day. See you on Saturday night.

If miami can beat UNC and FSU and put themselves in position to still win the conference, then that will win the fan base back and help us to better forget what happened last night.
