Louisville Will Be a Problem

If this wasn't Sr day I would be a little more nervous then I should be. We have a very solid Sr class full of guys with pride for this program. (Shaq, Pinck, Finley, Knowles, Bethel, etc) That is the intangible for this game. They aren't going out against these guys in their last game at the Rock. As you can see most of our Srs are on defense. This D will win us the game even if the offense comes out flat. I don't see UL scoring anymore then 10 points. All Enos needs to do is score 11..JMO.
As most good gamblers could tell you Senior Day generally does the exact opposite of making a team be fired up. Teams, the Seniors in particular, often come out flat. The emotions and thoughts of it being their last game, the extra festivities, parents, etc take away from the initial focus. Now 2nd quarter or at least 2nd half? That's when you should expect to hopefully see some Senior pride and they hopefully kill it. Would love to be wrong and we're ready to go from the gate but rarely does that happen.

“If” implies there’s a chance
Of course there’s a chance. There is a chance of anything happening this team. They came out with fire in the games they won and came out slow in the games they lost except for Florida. That is why they are a middle of the road team. Like I was stating earlier if they come out slow again they lose it’s that simple.

Everyone is a problem. coaches need to get them to practice prepare with the same intensity they did for FSU. That has been lacking for several seasons.
All they have to do is show them what Teddy did constantly. Just say UL is fsu lite and drill that in there heads.

i hear ya but our offense has shown to be a major liability at times, and for some strange reason at home

Playing down to the competition, not taking them seriously enough, not being motivated during the week of practice..... it happens all over college football all the time. Meanwhile, that lesser competition is preparing for you like it's the grand opportunity of a lifetime. Even Clemson with master motivator Dabo does this every year. Coaches preach to their teams about this kind of stuff constantly, but it still happens. Why, I'm not sure, but it has to drive coaches crazy.

Louisville has the goods it will be a close game until the 2nd half and then We Bring the Hammer! Crowd will have to play a factor in this and we will carry the momentum .

Lets get this Wwwww.

Go Canes!

If we have turned a corner we win this game. And we don't rely on a last minute score to do it.
We win out and win the bowl game....that's when we can start talking. Nation Singing Day means a lot u have to win that day as well like Jimbo did at TAMU last year in year one

I expect their offense to be a problem at times.

Their defense though can give up a lot of points and is not scary at all.

Hope we play a lot like we did last week. We should win comfortably if that is the case but as we have seen this season we just never know.

...and we run the defense they wish they had. You saw 59 points scored in that WF--atrocious defense. Watching their games is good and all but it's about the match ups and we got guys to hang with them.

Out of Louisville's 5 wins (two against FCS), only one came on a top 20 defense (UVA #17 - overall). The rest we're against the outside 50. Our defense (#14 - overall) will be the second toughest they've seen all year only after Clemson (#4 - Overall) whom they only hung 10 on.

What I mean to say is that there is nothing they are going to do to win this game. If we lose, it's because the Canes got in their own way which has been the same tired story all year long.
I agree with you, our defense is much better, but they can score in bunches. If they catch us being complacent or on a off night, I'm not confident our offense can score enough to get the dub.

Im looking at their stats and sounds like they are a straight up running team. Hard to see a path where that puts up big points on this team. They wont score 17 points.
