Lashlee

We run outside one time in the 3rd, picked up 19 yds. We didn’t see it again. I’m like wtf?!

It was put in the vault for next week. Don’t want to put too much out on film this early in the season.

The truth of the matter is Lashlee followed the debacle known as Enos, so of course he was a breath of fresh air. Now, the Enos stench has dissipated and we can smell the foulness of Lashlee's offense. It always stunk, but it was just slightly better than what we previously had. I guess the same could be said of King as well.
In fairness, King was much better last season than what we are seeing right now.

Lashlee is saving the playbook for next year so no one can distract him from his current job with HC offers

He doesn't have the horses up front for his scheme to be effective running the ball. Yes, occasionally he'll catch the D off guard and sneak Mallory behind the last defender for a big gain, but before that happens he's probably sacrificed 12-20 runs up the middle for 1.5 yards.

If all those inside zones were actually moving the ball 4-6 yards a pop, then you really got the defense stacking the box to defend the run and can take advantage of it. But when they can stop the run with their front 4, there's no need for the back 7 to cheat up and leave a corner or OLB on an island.
That’s the point… why move away from the air raid concepts in favor of a power running game, when the personnel isn’t capable of operating it?

You sure? We went 8-4 with that same QB y'all talking about. He's struggling, no doubt about it, but it's on Lashlee as the OC to put his players in a position to be successful. Right now he isn't doing that. Hold both accountable.
Both sides of the argument are correct

I'm going to try my best to make this be the last time that I make this comment on the board, but this is why I was hesitant the second his name started being mentioned. This is who Lashlee (and Malzahn) are. There's going to be a game or two where he gets you all excited, but listen to me good. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. He's just going to revert back to his normal self. Incomplete pas on first down? Run between the tackles on second. Explosive play resulting in a first down? Run between the tackles on the very next play. 3rd and long? Either run a delay thinking it will fool the defense (it won't) or some quick **** near horizontal pass that's short of the sticks. The fact that losers like myself would sit at Auburn games and pick his calls beforehand (due to formation or down and distance) at an alarmingly high rate would have been funny if not for it being so sad. Sure, King has his issues, but when you have similar problems over multiple QB's at a couple of locations, well maybe it's not the player.

And I'm here to tell you, all of you guys thinking TVD or Garcia are going to make a difference are sadly mistaken. Rhett/Gus for some unknown reason like to recruit QB's that aren't really the best fit for their system. I've seen this story before. I held out hope because posters more knowledgeable than I am talked about what Lashlee did at SMU. Well, I've seen enough. As an Auburn grad, this is deja vu for me. Our only hope is if Brown (who's incredibly raw) makes the biggest jump ever as a true freshman. Or if we somehow have an older guy fall out of the sky like Newton or Marshall.
I actually recall you saying this lol

Manny and Rhett’s time running out faster than this dude’s hairline

Oline did no one any favors. Penalties, lack of communication. Dropped passes in huge spots. It wasn't any one thing or any one person that caused the offense to be stagnant.
Gotta get 55 outta there.
