Best update for us I've read on Johnson in months.

UF was on the rise, then supposedly FSU was the flavor of the week, now they're not even top 3.

Canes consistent here.

Come on down!
I scared of Bama and LSU. If they offer what we can't then he's gone IMO.

Naw he wants to be close to his family

Its a good thing those SEC schools would never consider something like moving an entire recruits family up to their area. Its really a shame that Patrick Johnson Petersons family wasn't able to catch a single one of his college games.

Idk when you guys will learn to not take everything these kids say so seriously all the time. JJ to me is trying to make the best decision BUT will troll a little because he can just like 90% of the kids out there not because they're divas but all the attention and recognition they get allows to that happen. I still think he'll wait a while to decide so we shouldn't get too high or too low with him

Interesting thread here..My 2 cents is this..

1) Is JJ elite or a cant miss prospect based off just physical ability and on field production? No. But because he supposedly has such pull in Dade that makes him elite in my book. (Sidebar: this will be interesting to keep an eye on.There hasnt been any actual proof ive seen to back this up. People say that Cole and Irvin will follow him which I believe but 6 months ago yall made it seem like all of Dade and Broward would follow this kid! He might have pull but not on the level of Jacory Harris-UM or Lamont Green-FSU. Two guys who actually swung the entire landscape of dade county recruiting when they committed to their respective schools)

Anyway, we would survive if he committed elsewhere, we just wouldnt survive if he committed to UF or FSU. BIG difference. My point: Gotta get this kid in O&G or hope he goes out of state. Where Irvin/Cole will not follow.

2) Alot of buffonery on here when it comes to FSU recruiting. It went from them dropping TCole to now they are slow playing SBB and JJ and Scarlett? LMAO. Man come on. They got the juice now and all but lets not make it seem like this is FSU of the 90s. Where they actually were picking and choosing whoever they wanted.

Those mofos get 2 and 3* guys too. Maybe they dropped Cole because they know he is looking around so they want to save face...as far as SBB, they dont want him at S..I get that..But dont tell me they are turning down athletes like SBB ESPECIALLY if they know it will get them Ridley too! Remember, these are the same dummies who offered 1* recruit John Franklin a scholie just to lock up Alex Collins. LOL.

As far as Scarlett, who knows what the real story is but if they felt Patrick/Frasier are better, I will take that bet. I will never turn down a 6'1 210lb 4.3 RB. And when he blows up big time this year in that STA offense..everyone else will see too.

I believe that Miami should take kids that want to at Miami..and represent our city, if not they should be on their way to were ever they want to be ...if J.J doesn't want to be a Miami hurricane then we should wish him the best of luck...if Tim Irvin doesn't feel in his heart that he doesn't want to be a cane, legacy and all then the best of luck to him ...let's celebrate the Jordan Scarlett.. Bruce Sam... Joe yearly, Tracy Howard, and the rest. The sofa guys that chose to stay home and take us to the promise land..let me not forget randy ''duke'' Johnson ......

If Jaquan would have been in this years class, it's likely he would be getting some serious PT... We are NOT deep at all...!!!

Deon, Jamal and Crawford... That's it! Not only that, Deon has gotten hurt a lot in his career. The freshman we have are going to get some burn time. Who knows how they will pan out?

Jaquan could be starting by his Sophomore year! That ain't happening at FSU and UF is about to fall off the cliff...

All those schools would give him early playing time

What? Because he hasnt committed here already, he doesnt want to be here? Do you forget that for the longest time Howard was a Gator lean? Scarlett and Bruce werent fans of Miami? Lastly so many great Canes didnt grow up dreaming of being Hurricanes, some like KW2 wanted to be elsewhere. Recruiting is all about changing minds, Randy went with the tactic of only recruiting kids that wanted to be Canes, and he ended up with ****** talent in his last two classes. Kids that can go anywhere in the country most of the time will need to be convinced that being a Cane is best for them, and that is on the staff. Sure there is Duke Johnson and others with great love for Miami like Chad Thomas, but most studs gotta think it over, and if you wanna end up being successful as a program, its smart to stay on them and be patient. This post makes some sense if and when JJ signs somewhere else, but until then c'mon.
