He will get his shot at Tackle. With that being said his future in the NFL is definitely guard.Easier said than done. Rivers will be an OT, or at least get every chance to compete for one of the spots in a year or 2. It isn't uncommon for young OTs to start their college careers at OG when possible.
Who’s the tackle we wouldn’t be getting or are you asking about a potential tackle in 2021?
We have a good amount of first and second year tackles on the roster: Walker, Rivers, Nelson, Campbell, Washington, El Gamal, McLaughlin once he gets in. Nothing wrong with beefing up the interior.
Antler spray
you always take a tackle if a legit blue chip kid wants in. but if we go 0-7 in evaluating/developing that list of unproven guys. We got much bigger issues that no extra tackle commit is gonna fix.none of these guys are proven we need to keep stacking
I'm not so sure. I think he's the better prospect between him and Walker but that's just my opinion based off the smallest of sample sizes. Watching Rivers dominate in the All American game sold me on the kid playing OT but we'll see. As far as his position in the NFL I'm not projecting that far. It's way to early for that. I'm just talking about him starting at OT for us at some point in the next year or 2.He will get his shot at Tackle. With that being said his future in the NFL is definitely guard.
Really not liking the sound of counting Moise forward
I agree. Plus the kid wants to be a Cane. Take him and see what he is best atBird in hand....
If they really like him why not take him instead of waiting for the possibility of maybe getting someone as good next season.
Tackle is still possible for rivers. He had one week of practice still a lot to be seen6’5 has nothing to do with it. They had rivers at guard in the spring. And Justice seems to like the lean athletic types at tackle.

Unfortunately, some of that dead weight is on the Oline lolThere is still plenty of dead weight this program can and will shed if we continue stockpiling talent.
Right, I know they put him at guard I shoulda clarified I think down the road he could be a tackle but not this year. I agree that could easily happen. They have walker, Campbell, and rivers all potentially could be at tackle and that is a lot better then what we’ve had the last couple years.Tackles will be Campbell and Williams unless one of them gets hurt then Scaife will kick out. Rivers is starting at guard. Down the line he may have the same situations as Scaife where he is bounced inside or out depending on the need of the team.
Depends if they did or will get one back for Asa Martin.21 recruiting class is going to be real right numbers wise, down to 23 spots. Tough decisions will need to be made.
why do people keep asking this?! We are not getting one back for Asa because he stayed at Miami for a semester.Depends if they did or will get one back for Asa Martin.
Ok if a kid is into Texas I am going to say the kid would not like Miami. I don't know the kid of course but does the kid understand the culture of Texas? It isfor country kids. Miami is City. a guy fits into one or the other
I read and appreciate your breaking down the numbers frequently. I have a couple questions though. Do you see the 25 cap being dropped in the near future with how the transfer portal has started to hit teams sometimes in large numbers? Also, if there were another Marshall type situation to occur how would a team ever get back to 85?
