Isn't it just way more likely that they were guilty and that's the reason that the car place hadn't said a word until now when they need to save face?

No one is saying they are completely innocent but I dont think there was enough ther to warrant them being kicked off the team other than the school being worried about the NCAA coming in after if they were allowed to play at all this year. I will be interested to see if Young misses any games or if Grace does if he decides to leave. You cant just transfer out to avoid penalties for taking benefits.

I don't know all the details of the situation so I won't give an opinion. But it's not paranoia if they really are after you.

This is what it all boils down to. Miami didn't want the NCAA involved at all so they cut ties just to be safe. There is a reason Young is able to go to Marshall without facing any penalties. The fact that Grace and AQM are also being allowed to finish their degrees is also strange. There is no real proof of wrong doing but we all know something went down so Miami is just washing their hands of the situation.

Nothing really strange about allowing them to finish out their academic year at UM as they were cut loose too late in the summer for them to be
able to latch on to another program.
It's the decent thing to do regardless of what they did and, also, you don't want these guys having too much anger at this school and potentially
causing more problems (e.g., running to the media). Keep them close by.

I cant think of any other time a player was kicked off the team for anything but allowed to keep their academic scholarship. Way too much money to give to someone who knowingly broke rules and lied about it. I still don't believe the school had any actual proof other than the word of Youth's ex and what the players admitted to them.

If I remember correctly, Jammi German lost his eligibility for something I can't recall now, but I think it had to do
with messing around with an agent, and this was also during a time that UM had just been placed on probation.
Anyways, if I recall, he was allowed to attend school and was actually on the sidelines helping the coaches.

I'm no insider here, but there is probably more to this story than we will know, and we don't want to know.
To say the school doesn't have any actual proof is naive.
In fact, the burden was probably on the players not the school, and they apparently didn't satisfy the concerns
of the former.

Are you serious? This isn't a court of law. Think of the irs...they don't come in and prove you lied on your taxes, they ask you to explain how you didn't lie. They say gee, seems kinda fishy that you made $50k but you bought a Lamborghini, can you explain that? Wouldn't being unable to show how you paid for the cars be "evidence"? What about of the family member who paid can't explain having that much extra money?

Yatil Green and him jumped on a limo sent to them by an agent and if I recall they had a nice
all-expenses trip to a restaurant in the Grove.
I believe this happened on the same day, or close, that UM was sanctioned by the NCAA.

We don't know all the facts. But if they said they only drove the cars once, and there are eleventy billion pictures of them on IG rollin', that ain't a good look.
