Maybe I'm just seeing what I want to believe, but I think Kaaya is the biggest issue.
After the FSU game, I thought it was the playcalling. But Kaaya is playing horribly. I *think* one major problem could be that he was more comfortable in a "check with me" system where his reads were predetermined. I think Kaaya is struggling with progression reads. Richt alluded to it in his presser. He said he needed to do a better job of getting Kaaya comfortable with cutting the ball loose.
Kaaya isn't processing information well. Period. There were clear examples of guys wide open and Brad not pulling the trigger.
At the end of the day, It's Richt's fault for not getting more out of Kaaya, but I think what we're seeing is Kaaya struggling with a "pro style" progression offense. We kinda just took it for granted that Kaaya would show mastery of the offense. Either things click for Kaaya, or we might have to scale things back to a one-read offense.
Couple things. Yes you are seeing what you want to see. But yes Kaaya is also struggling too. Unfortunately, he's struggling BECAUSE of Rick. He wasn't struggling like this for this extended amount of time at any point in his first two years.
Second, how are you guys seeing all these open receivers on the TV view because I think that's impossible?
they arent open. i was at the UNC game. and when they were open the dropped balls.
go back and look, we went 6-7 with duke mother ******* johnson having 2043 yards from scrimmage.
