This fan base has seen charlatans of every stripe come by this program... they can spot a phony baloney from a mile away.

So far the OC and some of the assistant coaches that Mario has hired are just that.

Love those. Idk if you been to Vegas but in New York New York there's a place called Greenberg's Deli which is unreal. Got it the last two times I went to Vegas.

Never been to Vegas (which sounds crazy) but Katz's has been in NYC since 1888...If my GF was with me, she would've undoubtedly ordered the Rueben...which I almost did. Love watching the Cooks slice the meats without using a Meat slicer...
 
my stepdad was a HS football and Baseball coach and didn't take sht from any of his players and I watched him wrap a fungo bat around a dugout pole screaming at a kid one day but every one of his players loved him.

when he passed there were players at his funeral who played for him in the 70's that showed up and many more called with condolences when they learned of his death.

you can be a disciplinarian and not be a hard ***.....

You can scream at them if you can convince them that you have their back and aren't out there f'ing it up.... can't say that about Gattis

Can't tell you the last time I had a pastrami sandwich which is pathetic in my own eyes since I'm a big sandwich guy. Might have to get one today lol.

he helped a lot of those kids get jobs and get into college and one of them he got a job for ,Richie Bancells has been the trainer for the Orioles for many years.

there's a difference in being stern and getting respect and screaming just to hear yourself yell and Some guys don't know how to separate the two.gattis is one that is a prick and the kids have tuned him out.

I said it on another thread. These upper class dudes were recruited to “paradise”. Of course they fold if get any tough talk

Idc about if the dude talks tough. Just coach well. You can’t be an average as **** coach and continue spouting lines like we just have to be tougher. Nah ninja toughness doesn’t matter if your defensive coordinator is ****ed w his pre snap call. Toughness doesn’t matter when you don’t adjust the protection when duke is selling out on a jailbreak esp when your oc is in a booth w a clear avtnage point. That’s in game coaching. It’s what annoys me the most bc I expected a better coached team even w the roster holes.

They fold last year when king got hurt? Just asking bc which is it? They’re weak but somehow the same weak kids won 5/6 in acc play. (4/5 in acc play). Can’t be both right? We’re only saying they’re weak minded after we applauded them for not mailing in the year down the stretch bc the coaching has been subpar and we’re trying to find an excuse other than Mario and his staff have done a poor job along w the players doing a poor job as well.

Blaming the players is a very surface level and simplistic thought process. ‘I see players playing poorly, thus the problem must be the players - we have no talent.’

Even though any basic level of rational thought and logic would tell a person all those players cannot possibly be bust, they are incapable of thinking beyond what they think they see with their eyes.

This derives also from the fact that they do not seem to have any idea what coaches actually do and what it means to coach or develop players. Some seem to think you just recruit great players and they go out and make great plays and win games. Coaches job is done with recruiting….

Even when we lose to the very bottom of football, somehow they honestly believe MT has more talent – why? Because we lost. If we had more talent we would have won. Very simplistic thought process.

Some of it is intentional because there is no way a person that is capable of reading and writing could believe we have less talent than MT.

1/2 of those kids who won games on offense last year are no longer on the team or weren't on the field this yr for ACC play so your point is moot it ain't the same roster but keep on keeping on

Appreciate the opinion. Don’t think you’re far off of off at all. Seems like there are disconnects all over the program. Hopefully that gets remedied in the offseason.

Will Rad have say in the football staff?
