Freshmen snaps and Key Smith's mom vs Gattis

who's gone? I know Rambo and Harley. Pope sat out half the year basically. Wiggins LOL. the TEs are the same. TVD is there. we didnt have Chaney for most of last year and cam got hurt too down the stretch (around mid October) so it went all to rooster. the lineman are back on offense. so which ones are truly gone? sounds like a lot of excuse making for what is a poor coaching job and very clearly kids tuning out the coaches as well. its okay to say year 1 was a failure by ALL parties (players and coaches). its okay to say Mario ****ed up the coaching staff hires bc he did. its not even up for debate anymore. every category we are worse w the offense. somehow we are worse health wise but not a shock if you look at the Oregon injuries as well (I still mostly think this is flukey). my point isnt moot, you just want to defend what has been a failure so far. it can improve w a new OC and DC and theyre allowed to bring their guys (no more Mario determines who the WR coach or QB coach or LB coach is). they get full say on their side of the ball. Mario can determine the oL coach bc hes better than anyone out there. otherwise you wont get a good candidate to come down here to work for him if they can't bring in their guys that theyre comfortable w to install their schemes and plays

Relax, brother...they went 7-5 and down the stretch they lost to FSU and beat two teams without coaches. Pump the brakes.

It’s not like they were beating MTSU’s of the world. They won at Pitt and beat a pretty good NC State team. If we had a couple wins like that now Mario‘s cult would be celebrating those achievements.

Rambo- WR 1 79 catches 1172 yds 7 TDs
Harley- WR 2 57 catches 543 yds 5 TDs
Xavier- WR 3 24 catches 373 yds 2 TDs

63% of TVDs touchdown catches, 67% of his completions from last yr did not play a down in our 3 ACC games

LT Zion hasn't played a snap
LG Donaldson isn't on the team
RG Scaife is playing out of position at RT where he struggles and has struggled his whole career
RT who played about 65% of the snaps Jarrid Williams graduated

so its really not even close to the same guys on offense as the unit that played well for the ACC schedule especially the OL

Two nice wins.

Miami was 3-4 at this same time last year just coming off the NCST game. Pitt was another good win bringing us to .500.

Then congrats to Miami for splitting dog fights against non-bowl teams (one against our rivals) and two wins versus teams with no coaches to end the season. I guess they didn't "quit" though.

Maybe we'll get two nice wins this year...got FSU and Pitt still to go.

Donaldson isn’t good and wasn’t at the end here. He was out of shape and always hurt. Mario brought in two more ol. Williams was like half in and half out for his 8th season. I’ll give you Zion. Again we aren’t convincing each other of anything. You want to say it’s not bc of anything the staff does. I’ll say it’s both w a poor job by the staff as well. It is what it is. Good news is Mario will get his time. Gattis and his band of idiots won’t

Miami was 3-4 w losses to msu and Bama. We are 3-4 w losses to duke and mtsu

It’s all convenient bc we never want to blame cafecito time over there. He sucked this year. Just like Manny sucked and richt sucked in year 3. Not a new thing. Coaches can have bad years. Even spo has had bad years and he’s the best coach this state has seen beside Shula and jj
 
So Key Smith was the guy who could take the top off and for 2 years we wanted more of.....now that Wario and Gattis are here he's trash, couldn't play anywhere, and we're better off without him.

Slurpers gonna slurp. I thought for year it was the high paid coaches job to get the most our of their players. Isn't that what CIS said about the last few staffs? We have talent, but they are corches?

When and where did Key Smith ever "take the top off?" (Rambo and Harley were the speedsters last year.) I've watched Key Smith on every kickoff this year and he's never shown any kind of elite speed. There's a reason why teams keep kicking to him every chance they get.
