For those of you wanting Richt gone..Who would you hire?

On Defense, I might be one of the few still riding with Diaz & Banda, Rumph needs to go if he can't land Tyrique Stevenson, love Coach Kool as a teacher but he needs help in recruiting & vehemently disagree with Patke getting the 10th assistant job.

As far as the successor to Richt after he retires, doubt we could pull Gary Patterson or David Shaw from TCU & Stanford, but those would be my top 2 choices. Or, find a young upcoming X's & O's guru that Richt could hand the baton off to like Stoops did with Lincoln Riley.

Lots of people talk to the coaches and ADs, at donor events, basketball games, booster events etc. I’ve met every AD and coach since I’ve graduated and I’ve never mentioned it because it doesn’t mean jack shlt. The only people that have access that counts are people on the BOT, and just a small handful of them, not even all of them, and big time donors like Soffer.

But yea, Tampa Bay Catfisher contributed $50 one time so he’s a big time player spraying his seed all over the site.
 
Definitely don’t want Richt gone, but I think a name to watch in the next few years is Kiffin. Excellent offense, elite recruiter, put together a monster staff at FAU, and I think he’s gotten a lot more wise and mature since his USC days.

Richt is the best thing that has happened to this program in 15 years. You can see we are moving in the right direction. I think people are stressed, and it's viewed as anger.

The further we get from the glory years, the harder it becomes to get them back. Which is why so many loyal fans are demanding so much. We can't afford the missteps and we all know it.

I think we learned from the previous regime how badly we needed a steady seasoned coach to handle the head job. Richt came here because he thought it was a place he could win a championship. Not because it was his alma mater.

So the expectations shouldn't come as a surprise. Although I think if you asked Richt he would tell you he's surprised how far behind the program really was in all facets. He's done a lot to close that gap.

Richt needs and deserves our support. But he must understand that the glory days are becoming a distant memory and fans aren't going to sit by silently while they do.

One aspect that i worry about Richt is that he is a nice guy.... Saban, Meyer, are killers and closers
Butch to me has both qualities and is great at identifying talent.
should have fired Donna and P.Dee for the way they handled his contract
 
Wait till Richt has a good Oline and a competent QB before you judge him as a coordinator/playcaller. He managed to help Rosier to 31 TDs, so keep that in mind. Y'all ain't seen nuthin yet.

QB **** the bed for Pitt and our best playmakers were injured.

Overall Miami's talent level and depth need to be better, but we're easily 11-1 last season and playoff bound with everyone healthy.

With Malik Rosier.... think about that.

yep, dont get the hire myself, also concerned that the coaches, Manny and Richt, dont seem to put the D-line a top priority, when it clearly is a huge need, and also the fact it wins championships. How the **** does Butch get all those man eaters up front no matter where he's at ?? he must be responsible for nearly 10 first rounders on d-line alone, thats just insane
