Well I guess the plus side if we are snubbed a playoff seeding is most likely playing in the orange bowl...

we could lose to pitt, then beat clemson and get in
we would get a mulligan too 100% guaranteed
This is true and what is so ridiculous about the whole thing. You have a group of morons not looking to find the team with the best resume and instead trying to do everything they can not to leave conferences out.
They need to expand the playoffs to 8 teams (or 6 teams with the top 2 having byes). Give each conference winner a spot and save 3 at large spots
If Michigan and Bama win out -- dealing both Ohio State and Auburn a 3rd loss and Wisconsin at least 1 loss -- we could still be in the playoff, assuming our only loss comes from a close game vs. Clemson. Obviously, this is worst case scenario, and we would rather win out, but Michigan and Bama winning out can only help us, not hurt us.
Committee might be weighing Clemsons win against Auburn.
Thats got to be it, I forgot they beat them ****. That looks like a real good win for them especially what they did to UGA, but really that doesnt mean a **** thing cuz they lost to syracuse. This whole **** is fuqed up..............just expand this **** to conference winners get into the playoffs fuq it
Again, Clemson beat #6 Auburn, at home, by one touchdown.
And then Miami beat #8 Notre Dame, at home, by over 30 points.
But we still have fake Miami fans telling us that we should be happy to be behind Clemson.
Can Miami just get some real fans, like what we had in the 80s and 90s? Not these feminized millenials who keep telling us how great it is to be "disrespected".
You're getting to emotional about it homie. Everyone on the board knows Miami should be two. But it's completely irrelevant either way.
We play Clemson anyway so theres no way being 3 can **** us. "If they're being disrespected, it'll fire up the team" is actually a thing.

Stop starting these threads. We know if we win we're in ya fvcksfick.
We are looking at ways to lose to clemson and still get in. It matters how the committee views us (this year, and in the future).
I fear
1) the ACC will never get the proper respect in the 10-25 rankings
2) Miami will always be held to a higher standard. Just winning isn't enough win you're Miami and they expect us to blow mediocre teams out
The fact we aren't 2 right now speaks volumes imo. A close loss is better than a close win.
Also, we lost Walton for the season and I didn't hear the talking heads defend our close wins. Yet clemson is losing to Syracuse before their starting QB goes out and they bend over backwards to defend clemsons #2 ranking.
Miami wins close game in ACC - "Miami survives" "Miami squeaks by"
Other schools win close conference game - "Heroic 4th quarter effort to get the W"
Literally no one is saying that. We just aren't over emotional ***** like you.Committee might be weighing Clemsons win against Auburn.

It's not about emotion, it's simply logic.
If none of these votes matter except the final vote, then why bother even having the votes?
The reality is that when you let these idiots on the CFP Committee disrespect us for 3 weeks in a row, then they will keep disrespecting us for three more weeks.
And if you are stupid enough to believe that the team "needs" this disrespect week after week as motivation, then you will be fine when we simply lose once we become #1 , as we will no longer have the needed motivation.
Again, the simple concept that we should accept being given less than what is due to us is a joke.
We did everything necessary. We won every game. But now we have fake Miami fans telling us that a 1-TD victory over the #6 team is "better" than both a 30-point victory over the #8 team AND a loss to a 6-loss team.
Insanity.

Nearly everyone here thinks we should be 1 or 2.

On College Football Live they predicted that even if Miami loses to Clemson in the ACC Championship game (as long as it's close), then they don't see the committee keeping out a 12-1 Miami team because it has the best strength of record and the best win (over #3 ND). Verrrrrrrry interesting
if we beat clemson we are IN even if we drop one to PITT or UVA (not both) --> for the record dont think we lose either
debate me all you want but there is no way in **** the ACC champ is getting left out if it only has 1 loss (especially since there is going to be very few one loss teams this year)
if we beat UVA AND PITT but lose to clemson
then i think we need michigan to beat wisconsin
and we need alabama to win out
so then we get in as a non acc champ with one loss
Frank Beamer is a fine man and what he accomplished at Virginia Tech is nothing short of astonishing. Blacksburg, Virginia is not exactly a hotbed for recruiting nor is it a place kids dream about going there to play.
Beamer will be 100% ethical and will rate the teams based on the knowledge he has garnered from countless years of being around college football.
Oh ffs.

You are clueless and immature! Just because you compete against someone and he puts up a good fight doesn't mean he is a bad person. Anyone who knows Frank Beamer is aware that the man is someone you would send your kid to--to be coached, with certainty that your son would return as a better person. Don't be afraid of the unknown as you sure as **** don't have one clue as to who Frank Beamer is.
The more I think about it, I think I’m coming around to Vilma’s side: Miami’s opponent last Saturday probably should never have been ranked #3 and UGA probably shouldn’t have been #1 (though they deserved to be top 4 with an undefeated record, had they played Auburn’s schedule I don’t think they would’ve been).
If someone made the argument that the SEC East, at least this year, was marginally better -if better at all- than the B1G West, I wouldn’t put up much of a fight. UGA won their first game and beat an inconsistent MSSt along with the worst coached teams in college football, the SEC East. Is it time to argue that they’re not who we thought they were? Especially, when you consider the drubbing Miami just gave their “signature” win.
Iowa not only stomped the Buckeyes, they also beat the Hawkeyes -who saw their way to victories over OK and TCU. Is it time to call OK’s loss exactly what it is? A loss. And, WI beat Iowa. Bad.

*Clemson > OK on neutral field
**Consistency keeps UGA ahead of Auburn if I’m just counting wins and losses, but at this point of the season there is no way a “#1 ” team should be beaten that badly even if it’s on the road. Fromm ain’t who some thought he was.
