I think this could really work, but we'd need to be committed to throwing significant dollars at a strong DC.

I guess the BOT plans on saying they asked EVERY coach in American and only Butch said yes AGAIN.
 
I'd take him over Strong and Cristobal.

At least, we would finally have a coach with some attitude on the sideline and in the press.

18-18 overall and 9-17 in conference. Hire him AND Charlie Strong! Can't cut it at all in the Big 12? Come on over to a better "fit" in Coral Gables!!! We back.
 
Holy **** that is a horrible name. Didn't think it could get worse than Strong and Mario.

Mark Dantonio was 18-17 at cincinnati, 11-11 in conference, and people would love to have him here now.

If Kingsbury is being considered, then it shows that at least the search committee seems to be doing a thorough search and is not settling for the pupu platter of Mario, Chud, Strong, or Schiano.
 
Don't want either way, but Kingsbury (or Leach) + an elite DC with total control over his own system would be intriguing.
