Update on transfer QBs

Coming out of OSU transfer Tate Martell’s visit to campus yesterday, I’m told by a program source that Miami is actually more confident in landing Martell than Alabama transfer Jalen Hurts at this time. It seems confidence has slipped with Hurts a bit, as heading into his weekend visit, all indicators out of Coral Gables was that he was UM’s to lose, but things seem more up in the air right now on what he’ll do. Confidence is higher with Martell though and I’m hearing Miami feels they are in the prime position to land him as of now. I would make a Miami pick on him if I could.

Martell makes his final decision next week between UM, Louisville, and WVU, while Hurts will choose between schools like Miami, Maryland, and OU among others.

early enrollee and summer classes can make it work, especially if they were smart and front-loaded his class schedule during his redshirt year.

So because a student, who was dismissed, called him a bad word, he is free to play immediately wherever he wants? I could maybe understand if it was a coach or paid employee. But a student who is no longer enrolled at the university? I’m not being racially insensitive, but that’s bull****. Why didn’t Fields quit as soon as it happened? Your absolutely blind then. The level of competition that Martell faces in HS was vastly superior. He was 43-0 and played his best in big games. Jarren was just over .500. Martell was 25-28 in passing attempts this year and Jarren hasn’t thrown a pass yet. Martell is also a much better athlete and faster than Jarren. I am not bagging on Jarren, I think he has potential but your kidding yourself if you think at this point Jarren is better....

To make it work, his schedule would have had to have been loaded every semester. plus taking a bunch of summer classes. I dont believe it.

Bishop Gorman is pumping out TALENT like St. Thomas Aquinas. People go to that school to win even if its 2 hours away. Not saying Martell is only good because the talent around him. Just saying Jarren Williams didn't have that much talent around him

Some of the experts here probably think Kosi and Williams are better than Haskins, they just had bad coaching! The guy was #3 on the chart for a reason and the 2 ahead of him were not very good against a horrible schedule

No we got Rosie for most of the game with Perry to close it off.... one dude who graduated and the other who might get himself kicked off the team before fall camp

When Mark Richt put PERRY In the game when it was raining down on HardRock like never before he lost me. I think it was to teach PERRY he wasn't ready but why wasnt PERRY ready if Mark Richt and Son are his Only Coaches. Ontop of that we were stuck and lucky not to get a Safety. Mark Richt got a little too stubborn

I think it was telling how Mork and his sons coaching was that they couldnt have Jarren ready to play by the UVA game.... during that game with how Perry played he deserved to get the yank an to put in Jarren to see what we had and maybe salvage the season....

Putting Rosie back in didnt provide any spark that everyone who followed this team could see a mile away and lost every game... no different than what happened might have happened with Jarren but at least he could have worked on his game and some film could have been taken to help with his development this offseason

I clearly been felt Martell was a lock. He likes these types of cities and Miami doesn't have no QB comp thats on his level.

Hurts on the other hand is looking at everything. He could choose us. He could choose OU. He could choose Maryland. Right now, we just don't know.

Martell-90%
WV - 5%
Louisville- 5%

Hurts
TCU- 1%
Miami - 33%
OU- 33%
Maryland- 33%

We just don't know. No one does. I honestly think he is leaning Maryland since that was the plan. He talked to Diaz and changed his mind. Enos only helped our pitch. OU called and that's a situation we seen work for two transfers previously. That's tough to turn down. He got options. I think we all got a shot
