Update on transfer QBs

Coming out of OSU transfer Tate Martell’s visit to campus yesterday, I’m told by a program source that Miami is actually more confident in landing Martell than Alabama transfer Jalen Hurts at this time. It seems confidence has slipped with Hurts a bit, as heading into his weekend visit, all indicators out of Coral Gables was that he was UM’s to lose, but things seem more up in the air right now on what he’ll do. Confidence is higher with Martell though and I’m hearing Miami feels they are in the prime position to land him as of now. I would make a Miami pick on him if I could.

Martell makes his final decision next week between UM, Louisville, and WVU, while Hurts will choose between schools like Miami, Maryland, and OU among others.

Same thing happened with Kayaa. He had a qb coach in the offseason that was likely 28 that of his qb coach

Yes. I remember him. Called the "Red Viper" coming out of high school. Transferred from school to school. Not very coachable. He was the father of eight illegitimate daughters so he would have fit in here. ( Remember Willis McGahee.) Known for wearing weird outfits around campus.

I haven't seen JWill play, but I've seen a decent amount of Gorman games as I live within walking distance of the school and go to any big games at their home field. Martell is a winner. He's not a ***** like the current group of UM qbs. He plays with a huge chip on his shoulder and is a natural leader. I think that he is deadly accurate up to 40 yards. He hits guys in stride. He is also very elusive and a strong runner. Just watch qb1 and some highlight vids. There has to be a decent amount of them on youtube. Martell is going to be a guy that everyone will love and everyone else will hate him because he's always talking trash. Maybe too much.

How has recruiting recently worked out for most of the big names Miami was feeling "good about"?

Good for Diaz if he can turn it around, but he might be starting to climb from out of a big hole. Might need a few cycles to get engine cranking.

Let's see.

Will be encouraging if he lands 1/2, a miracle if he lands 2/2.

I watched him play in the OSU-Rutgers game last year. Came away super impressed with him. At one point he broke of a really look run and then got SMOKED by a defender. I thought he wasn’t going to be able to come back in the game. Came in the very next drive and threw a deep dime for a touchdown immediately. Small sample size obviously but I can tell for sure that he is tough and plays with a chip.

3 springs, 2 falls, 2 or 3 summers

5*18=90
3 *8=24

If he has any HS credits or online classes, he very well could be at the 121 by summer.

Also, the kid may be a great leader but he can't throw the football and he won't have the best offensive line in college football in front of him. He reminds me of a Bob Griese, good player but is surrounded by great talent that makes him look much better than he really is. I'll take my chances with Cade, Perry, and especially Williams. Adding Martell would create a lot of excitement and competition. Don't believe Hurts is coming and not concerned at all. Remember, all three of our present QB's had lousy coaching the past few years and that will change shortly. GO CANES

Bob Griese may not be the one I would choose, but the entire Alabama team is 4/5 *. That’s why these guys typically underperform in the pros where they are playing against similar talent.
