Hope someone isn't putting nonsense into Jaquan's ear. Go ahead and get the advisory committee opinion. Also please take a strong look at the Safety position historical data.

The biggest knock on Jaquan Johnson will be his athleticism. That knock is going to be there if he declared this year, or stays his senior year and leaves next year. The problem is he has gotten exactly zero draft hype this year. So I don't think he should leave early because I think if he returns for his senior year like Ed Reed did, he can get a lot more draft hype. But this is also a down year for DBs in general. Last year was absolutely loaded at DB. This yr the CB class is garbage....which is actually why Michael Jackson should really consider leaving early. But for Jaquan I think he should stay because I think he needs his stock to be as high as possible entering Combine/Pro Day season because I don't think he'll have a great showing those days.

To think Nort, RJ, Chad, Trent, Moten, all are gone next year sucks. That is a crazy amount of experience considering who is behind them. Getting one of the 2 big guys back would help and with Willis possibly playing his final year $$. Bethel will have another offseason to condition and get stronger for the trenches same with Ford, and i expect Nesta to be ready to contribute. What about Martin? He looking like he could contribute next year? Anyways i am just surprised we arent taking a look at anymore DT's who would be ready to play next year. Starting to get back to the next man up mentality, Miami has always had juniors leave early just to have another high draft pick sophmore or freshman behind them that steps up.

Should we be looking for more LBs as well? Pickney and Shaq may be gone next year as well. Who do we have behind them ?

-I'll get negged but fvck it. I re-watched the ND game multiple times and Norton got his a$$ kicked repeatedly by Q Nelson. Couldn't believe it. He is not ready and would be making a huge mistake. He needs to get much stronger and not just rely on his size to move people.
-I used to think RJ leaving was a mistake but he has A. Darnold type quickness and will only get stronger as he gets older. I don't think he gets out of the first round unfortunately for us. I think if he came back he'd be looking at the top 10.
-JJ is not a center fielder, he's really playing strong safety. In the NFL he would get killed playing that position at his size and doesn't have the speed to play a true FS. His instincts are off the charts but he should come back or else he's looking at the 6th/7th round.

All these guys are true juniors. Most of the time those guys are physical freaks like Njoku. The only one even close to that is RJ.

Disagree on norton, I just watched every defensive snap of the Notre Dame and he threw Nelson multiple times and was in the backfield a lot. You got to remember the Nelson kid was considered a top 5 talent in the draft and norton was more than holding his own against him

You're wrong. I counted one win and that was being generous. There were multiple times he pancaked him too. And while Nelson is a top 5 talent he's one of 40 in the NFL so Norton will be seeing those guys every week. Our DL completely dominated the other 4 ND lineman but I guarantee Nelson grades out in the 90's.

A lot of people are forgetting we still have Gerald Willis coming back. If these boys want to feed the fam let them.

Barring UF having surtain SR being their DB coach I don't see how we lose JR

Seems the reason Briggs is not completely sold on miami is FSU is BSing him that they want him at DE while we want him insisde. He's a DT all the way but most DL prefer to play outside and collect sacks.

Well he is a DE in a 3-4 kinda like RJ was a DE in a 3-4. At this point though there are too many questions about FSU's DC anyway. Unless FSU is retarded, Kelly is getting fired and then they may hire someone who will run a 4-3 and Briggs just isn't a DE in a 4-3. Lastly, if you don't want to play for Kool and this defensive scheme, I give up....

I'm sorry, but this is just false. Nelson had a dominant game and made Norton/Moten look pretty average. Nelson's PFF grade was 86,3, which is elite. Norton's wasn't even close. We dominated up front because we won all the other matchups, especially RJ vs their RG.

RJ is a 1st round talent and should leave.

Norton is a 4th-6th round pick. He should come back and continue to get stronger and work on his technique. He could end up being drafted high, but he's not there yet

How the fvck every DLineman in the country isn't jumping a the opportunity to play for Kool and in this defense is mind blowing. I really think a strong finish will get us a big time DL surprise.

Mcintosh isnt being projected as a 1st round pick by anybody.

Fsu runs the 4-2-5. They are selling briggs on playing sde in the base D and kicking inside on some passing downs like walker did.

Peter - thoughts on Bogle as a player and likelihood as a cane?

I was wondering what his PFF grade was. As good as he was in that game his boy McGlinchey got exposed. Dude is not a first round talent, not even close. Joe Jack did a number on him all game and Garvin beat him a couple time too. I was worried how Garvin would hold up against the run but Manny/Kool did a masterful job of protecting him and subbing him in on obvious passing downs. This staff is insane and always one step ahead. Recruits need to know this.

What? Those guys are sophs. The 2019 class will be heavy on LBs, not this one

Think he meant those guys would be gone after next year, that’s why I’d want Bonitto in this class, would rather not have to rely and start 2 freshman in 19.

He got beat by mccloud too.

Difference is their guys have been going in the first or second round. Lately, our guys leave early and go in the 6th round.

Miami has a big big issue with losing juniors early.

If we want to have sustained success like an Alabama we have got to buck this trend. We must start having kids come back for their senior years

Norton and Johnson have no business declaring. They aren't in any 3 round mock drafts I have seen

Bama and Ohio State have kids leaving early all the time.
