I love Jaquan but he's got no business declaring early IMO. He isn't going to have the flashy measurable so the more tape he can put out there the better I would think.

He'll have four or five (hopefully) more game tapes coming up. How much do you need? That should be enough.

Brad Kaaya had a lot of game tape.

RJ/Norton/Jaquan all have my permission to leave early if they bring us #6 this year.

Miami has a big big issue with losing juniors early.

If we want to have sustained success like an Alabama we have got to buck this trend. We must start having kids come back for their senior years

Norton and Johnson have no business declaring. They aren't in any 3 round mock drafts I have seen

Needed that fix. Pls don’t wait a month ever again Pete. Body was shaking badly.

Jaquan is playing like arguably the best safety in college football right now.... His tape really isn’t going to get much better and his measurables will never be pretty. Wouldn’t be surprised if he made the move. Same with Jackson.

Heard that argument about Yearby.

Bama and Ohio State have kids leaving early all the time.

Miami has ALWAYS had kids leave early.

The only guy I couldn't look in the eye to come back is McIntosh. That kid might just have a 1st round grade at the end of the season. Norton needs to come back as does Jaquan. Jaquan's tape in his first two years were alright. This is the first year where he's elite.

Agreed.

Norton and McIntosh just may surprise us and return.

You get that taste of blood success in that hunt for the National Championship - and a lot of pending seniors want more of that.

Plus, those players on a National Championship team? Bigger audience, and bigger bucks on draft day.

Seems the reason Briggs is not completely sold on miami is FSU is BSing him that they want him at DE while we want him insisde. He's a DT all the way but most DL prefer to play outside and collect sacks.

Yearby never played at the current level Jaquan is so try again...

Richt will have the talk with Nort and RJ to come back and win back to back rings

Money talks. These guys are 1st day picks, potential 1st rounders. $$$$$ They're playing like it's natty now or never.

Richt will be the first one to tell RJ to go if he grades out well (which he will). He knows that kid is special and should be playing on Sundays. Him getting drafted in the first round is also good for the program.

Norton is the one who needs to be persuaded. He can improve his stock by coming back another year mango season. Aren't he and RJ roommates?

I just don't see Briggs signing here. If FSU's having a 3-6 season, while Miami's sitting at 9-0 where in consecutive weeks it was on prime time TV on ABC and dominated its competition, and Miami has the best D-line coach in the nation - you're not coming. It seems if the seasons were swapped, Briggs would've been an FSU commit long ago.

Hope someone isn't putting nonsense into Jaquan's ear. Go ahead and get the advisory committee opinion. Also please take a strong look at the Safety position historical data.

He is steadily gaining hype nationally. Starting to get some all american consideration too. Shining on the big stage like he has is upping his stock for sure.

-I'll get negged but fvck it. I re-watched the ND game multiple times and Norton got his a$$ kicked repeatedly by Q Nelson. Couldn't believe it. He is not ready and would be making a huge mistake. He needs to get much stronger and not just rely on his size to move people.
-I used to think RJ leaving was a mistake but he has A. Darnold type quickness and will only get stronger as he gets older. I don't think he gets out of the first round unfortunately for us. I think if he came back he'd be looking at the top 10 though.
-JJ is not a center fielder, he's really playing strong safety. In the NFL he would get killed playing that position at his size and doesn't have the speed to play a true FS. His instincts are off the charts but he should come back or else he's looking at the 6th/7th round.

All these guys are true juniors. Most of the time 3rd year players declaring early are physical freaks like Njoku. The only one even close to that is RJ.

Disagree on norton, I just watched every defensive snap of the Notre Dame and he threw Nelson multiple times and was in the backfield a lot. You got to remember the Nelson kid was considered a top 5 talent in the draft and norton was more than holding his own against him
