Should we be looking for more LBs as well? Pickney and Shaq may be gone next year as well. Who do we have behind them ?

What? Those guys are sophs. The 2019 class will be heavy on LBs, not this one

Don’t know why people are forgetting this. If Manny gets one of the two he wants this cycle I’m cool with the low number. He even said in an interview that the 2019 LB class is loaded. He’ll replenish there. 2019 for LB’s will be like how 2018 is for DB’s. At the end of the day this is SFL, these positions grow on trees.

“To be honest, I was wondering if guys would be leaving at my position, but if they stay I don’t mind learning behind them. Plus all the freshmen have been playing, so I know I’m gonna be on the field regardless.”

Sounds like Nesta to me

having one of McIntosh or Norton return would do a lot for the DT position next year. With what we already have committed at DB, I'm not so much concerned there, as I am with DT and LB. Those are the only two positions we still need to add significant talent for 2018

Yeah but that’s 2019, one can’t expect to strike gold on three freshman LBs everytime.

Pete do you think Campbell and surtain maybe don't want to play together like henderson and bandy? Also why is Tyson waiting?

Briggs trippin, man.

Yep. That was my biggest takeaway of Pete's entire write-up.

Briggs, the **** ain't rocket science, big homie. Same with Joyner. You actually mean to tell me that you are even remotely contemplating the Noles at this point?? Should be a **** no brainer, son.

And it's not like either of these kids are high 4 stars that can sit back and decide at their leisure.

I'd toss Joyner off the pot right now, and tell Briggs that he needs to **** real quick.

Great news only thing imo we need more DT targets . If we can land an couple more elite ones we can kids it’s not ok to sit on a scholarship to long. Next man up especially if better

Very plausible. I remember him wanting to wAit till February to sign his loi.. Sounded like he wanted to wait to see if our juniors declare early before fully committing to us.

Dafug kind of weak minded thinking is this. There is nothing this staff can't do. Those '19 backers are 10x more talented than the 2018 kids, no offense to the 18 kids. Brooks, brown, Solomon, Pierre, and Howard are as elite as they come.

Think he meant those guys would be gone after next year, that’s why I’d want Bonitto in this class, would rather not have to rely and start 2 freshman in 19.

Wilder, Jennings and Sneed — who will be seasoned by ‘19 — say hi...

People worrying about lb make me laugh. We go 9 deep in 2018, and that's not counting gordiniere and McCray..

The real need is at DE. The top 4 is set but we need to find 3-4 backups, especially since both Jacksons are gone after 2018.

I have a funny feeling that tyreic will move to chad Thomas' position, to go with Chatfield and Rousseau.

You don't recruit for the next season. People worried about linebacker are thinking about 2019, not 2018. Living paycheck to paycheck isn't the move in college football. You can get burned badly with that approach.

Why would any lb want to sit behind 9 returning lbs in 2018?? Lb is pretty much the lowest priority position on this roster. 3 sophomore starters, 3 veteran jrs, 3 stud freshmen. Why would any lb prospect want to come here?

Definitely concerned about our studs declaring for the draft ...so F it ...let's win it all this year!

We did just fine in 2016 with 3 freshmen, and those 2019 guys are probably even BETTER talents at this stage of their careers.

And are people already discounting the 3 stud fr we got in 17?

The 2019 class won't have to come in and start right away. They'll have 4-5 veterans depending on whether both Pinckney and shaq leave early in front of them until they prove their worth.

Tyreic Martin's not moving to DE.
