After working the phones the past couple days, I am still getting feedback from the Hecht that Georgia is the favorite. And since that is the best information I have, I'll go with Georgia as my pick right now.

But here's what I'll say: there's a lot of misinformation being put out there. When Cantwell took his unofficial visit to Miami a few weeks ago and sped up his decision timeline, he was all set to pick Miami. I knew that at the time, but there was still info being fed to others that Oregon was the favorite. Am I now being left in the dark? It hasn't really happened before, but if it did, this is the type of recruitment that would merit a total shutdown.

The Canes have invested a ton in Cantwell and Keenyi Pepe, and if they go 0-2 it would be a major loss. They haven't won that type of OT battle since 2023 with Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola. Those are battles you want to win, because those elite tackle prospects often end up as high NFL picks. There is a good hit rate at that position.

Cantwell makes his decision at 3:45 PM EST.

One last thing. Never forget the young tennis players have been making millions of dollars by the time they turned 18, often based on potential. No one cared then and no one does now.

The difference was they were professionals and not going to college

UNC girl few years ago won few matches at the US Open and couldn't accept it because she still wanted to be eligible

It’s as though 247 wants us to know that rankings are rigged and determined as much by where a player goes to school as by actual evaluation of the player.
Gaby is basically saying, we know Cantwell is still really, really good, but we have to reserve the top spot for a player at an SEC or Big 10 school.

Credibility out the door for 247 just that quickly. Amazing.

No, I'm not a Cane Insider, but this kid was All Cane from the very beginning. Mario probably told him to troll everybody for momentum especially since we lost PePe. I wouldn't be surprised if we get more commits after this in the next few weeks.

I agree about the difference between pro and college athlete. I’m just saying that teens have been paid for sports performances for many years.
And I also see some problems in the NIL system, but much like capitalism and democracy, they aren’t perfect but they are the best we have to this point in history.
