The latest I'm hearing on Jackson Cantwell...

After working the phones the past couple days, I am still getting feedback from the Hecht that Georgia is the favorite. And since that is the best information I have, I'll go with Georgia as my pick right now.

But here's what I'll say: there's a lot of misinformation being put out there. When Cantwell took his unofficial visit to Miami a few weeks ago and sped up his decision timeline, he was all set to pick Miami. I knew that at the time, but there was still info being fed to others that Oregon was the favorite. Am I now being left in the dark? It hasn't really happened before, but if it did, this is the type of recruitment that would merit a total shutdown.

The Canes have invested a ton in Cantwell and Keenyi Pepe, and if they go 0-2 it would be a major loss. They haven't won that type of OT battle since 2023 with Francis Mauigoa and Samson Okunlola. Those are battles you want to win, because those elite tackle prospects often end up as high NFL picks. There is a good hit rate at that position.

Cantwell makes his decision at 3:45 PM EST.

Agreed. At the very least, lock the system down a certain time before announcement (like 5 days). There would be a lot more volatility in their hit rates. Also weigh it so that the longer someone cb gets more points. A crystal ball 2 months in advance is worth more than a cb 5 days before announcement.

Later on they take credit for saying they got it right too. Like WTF? Anything for an extra click.

Those sites don’t get my clicks.

He will still be a top ten player nationally.
