Recruiting Update 12/13

I will continue to add to this thread all day as new development take place.

**As expected, FSU OC James Coley visited South Plantation today and met with FSU commit John Franklin and RB target Alex Collins. Franklin sent out this tweet: "Coach Coley to smooth he just left from visiting me and @Budda03 #FSU"

**I exchanged a few text messages with Keith Bryant earlier today and he told me that Miami coaches haven't set up any more visits with him recently.

**I was told last night that Stacy Coley was "ready to commit" to Miami, but that FSU's offer to Eddie Jackson is a blow to Miami's chances. Jackson and Coley are very close friends.

**After announcing yesterday that he would be visiting Miami this weekend, JuCo DL Lavon Hooks has cancelled a visit to Miami for the second week in a row. I just asked him why he didn't make it to Auburn today and he told me he would be there on Sunday. So I said, "Will you be at Miami on Friday and Saturday?," and he responded "no sir."

Then I asked one more time if he would be visiting Miami at all and he responded, "no sir"

So there's that I guess

ringz knows whats good here. These kids either A) won't be allowed to sign or B) have something wrong with their transcripts and never enroll or C) last a season as a redshirt and not have their schollie renewed

I'm sure Al is letting these kids know that their friends may not last

Not worried at this point. Looks like FSU is playing checkers and our staff is playing chess. I think in the end we will all be happy.

Jimbo is showing himself to be an amateur with this tactic

Coaches and players see this from a mile away. When a player's best offer is D2 Wofford.......FSU, Miami, and UF should not be offering.

But when you find out he's best buds with the blue chipper.....come on FSU

As if nobody knows what will happen to the D2 level friend next season.

If these kids were smart they would wait to have their friends enrolled before they sign any papers...........

FSU will tell them that they have to accept all LOI together or something.

It one thing when you have a kid like Keith Brown last year whose little brother had ZERO offers from around the county.....he got his little bro a free scholarship.

His BROTHER. Blood. Family. And his brother had no offers. So yeah I can see if a kid did this.

But Collin's friend John Franklin has offers from schools. Not big time schools....but he has offers. So does Eddie Jackson who is Coley's friend. And so does Estime who is Bryant's friend. And none of them are blood family.

I take this as a sign of UM's staff recruiting acumen. Stuff that FSU is doing exactly how you end up with too many JAG's on your roster

FSU can't beat us head on

They have to offer their scrub friends to have any chance agasint Golden. LOL at Franklin tweeting about anything. Kid didnt earn the scholly he got gifted

I would feel like a clown if I knew my scholly came with an asterisk yet this kid adamantly beileives FSU really wants him for his "talents" HAHAHAHAHA

Franklin didn't earn his scholarship on the field, but he's trying like **** to earn it now.

That's not me bashing coley, he's my dude and honestly he's one of my top 3 favorite recruits in this class I really want this bad *** ****. I hope these kids, like another poster already said, realize how great the U is in terms of putting kids in the league as well as our bright *** future. **** our future is so bright I can't see my hand on front of my face.

These kids need to see that golden turned down the Wisconsin job (which, believe it or not guys) is just as good if not better them ours right now with sanctions looming and an empty *** stadium.

These kids need to hop on board, and we need them too, because were about to be a force to be reckoned with. So pumped for what the future holds.

Btw message to Keith Bryant:

Ummm.. Lets go man? Why troll us so hard when you could be the staple of the class? We need a DT and we know how good you are but these antics are not that cool and quote frankly they're pretty disrespectful to the progr that was built by some of the best to ever play the game. Commit to us, or go elsewhere, but don't try to embarrass our program because you are not bigger than it.

I think we badly need help there, but it isn't one or the other.

We will most likely lose AJL, replacing him with Coley negates the blow.

FSU is going to get Collins, Coley and Bryant. Recruiting is a dirty business and they have to do this now or lose these guys to there rival. Jumbo lost his guys and I don't expect Coley to leave because he's the only one left. We will get ours and losing these guys will hurt but there's nothing we can do.

Only time will tell, but i don't think we loose all of them. At least 1 has to see through the BS

Unfortunately I think your right, Jimbo is going to do whatever he can to offset his coaches leaving. If it means offering friends of top recruits in order to sign said recruit, then so be it. Their recruiting class will be ranked high again, and that's what he'll sell to the fanbase.
