Recruiting Update 12/13

I will continue to add to this thread all day as new development take place.

**As expected, FSU OC James Coley visited South Plantation today and met with FSU commit John Franklin and RB target Alex Collins. Franklin sent out this tweet: "Coach Coley to smooth he just left from visiting me and @Budda03 #FSU"

**I exchanged a few text messages with Keith Bryant earlier today and he told me that Miami coaches haven't set up any more visits with him recently.

**I was told last night that Stacy Coley was "ready to commit" to Miami, but that FSU's offer to Eddie Jackson is a blow to Miami's chances. Jackson and Coley are very close friends.

**After announcing yesterday that he would be visiting Miami this weekend, JuCo DL Lavon Hooks has cancelled a visit to Miami for the second week in a row. I just asked him why he didn't make it to Auburn today and he told me he would be there on Sunday. So I said, "Will you be at Miami on Friday and Saturday?," and he responded "no sir."

Then I asked one more time if he would be visiting Miami at all and he responded, "no sir"

So there's that I guess

Jesus Christ @ the coley news. Florida state was so ****** worried about coley to UM they offered his best friend. What a Pathetic school they are

The 2 for 1 deals FSU is handing out like candy may hurt us now, but it's guaranteed to hurt them later. It's a practice and precedent I'm glad we stay away from.

FSU is scared. Very scared. They are getting out recruited by Golden with sanctions looming over us. Despite their best "MIAMI GETTING THE DEATH PENALTY" tactics, the only way they can get these south Florida kids is by doing this.

Relax gentlemen. Eventually it will bite them in the *** big time. We may lose some of these guys in the short term, but this is a very good sign for where we are headed.

I agree...but he wasn't offered because he was a good player. He was offered because he's Coley's boy.

I've seen Eddie's tape and Eddie can ball for sure, but that ain't why he was offered.

I think we learned our lesson when we recruited the entire Miami Northwestern Senior class.

If he isn't going to qualify for anyone we should just offer too I guess. You have to recruit them all over again if they go prep.

Collins and Coley will be a battle to the end.

seems like we might have cooled on Bryant. maybe he turned the staff off. idk but the guy is a STUD and the best DT in the state IMO

Lulz at the 2 for 1 specials that fsu is handing out. Thats 6 scholarships for 3 players. If they offer bryants friend that will be 8 scholarships. Keep going dumbo. Pretty soon he will have 10 good players and 10 jags in one class.

Oh and I will lol when dumbo cuts the jags loose after one year

So as kids hear about FSU's willingness to put their boys on, they will start requesting scholarships for their friends in exchange for their commitments. FSU is a few years away from 40 good players and 40 guys who should be at FIU.

The funniest thing that could happen is all these dudes come to UM and FSU has a handful of kids they don't want but are stuck with.

I think its just 18 year olds. Once you open that door though aint no closing it. When next year rolls around every kid worth a **** is gonna tell dumbo I want my friend with me. Just ask dumbo swinney how that worked out for him this year.
