Recruiting Update 12/13

I will continue to add to this thread all day as new development take place.

**As expected, FSU OC James Coley visited South Plantation today and met with FSU commit John Franklin and RB target Alex Collins. Franklin sent out this tweet: "Coach Coley to smooth he just left from visiting me and @Budda03 #FSU"

**I exchanged a few text messages with Keith Bryant earlier today and he told me that Miami coaches haven't set up any more visits with him recently.

**I was told last night that Stacy Coley was "ready to commit" to Miami, but that FSU's offer to Eddie Jackson is a blow to Miami's chances. Jackson and Coley are very close friends.

**After announcing yesterday that he would be visiting Miami this weekend, JuCo DL Lavon Hooks has cancelled a visit to Miami for the second week in a row. I just asked him why he didn't make it to Auburn today and he told me he would be there on Sunday. So I said, "Will you be at Miami on Friday and Saturday?," and he responded "no sir."

Then I asked one more time if he would be visiting Miami at all and he responded, "no sir"

So there's that I guess

I agree...but he wasn't offered because he was a good player. He was offered because he's Coley's boy.

He was offered by LSU and Bama might so it might not be the case.

Have you been following his recruitment at all? I suggest you read the dozens of posts about Alex Collins before making a really, really, really stupid post.

FSU will push the frineds out of the program either by seitching their positions or redshirting them to Bolivian.

FSU will not allow John Franklin, Estime, and Jackson to remain on the team past this season. Scholarships will not be renewed I imagine. They've done it before.

Yeah, I just get how they can send them to Bolivia. They don't even play football there, do they?

I had a friend who was in the DEA and I think she was stationed in Bolivia. I'll ask her about redshirting there.

Randy was always against this...and, its funny, because, in the end, Randy always took his fair allotment and then some of legitimate scrubs...

****, every coach is going to get their fair share of bums in a recruiting class, its always going to happen.

If a guy is going to be a bum or JAG, he should at least carry a value...if that value is to also land a super stud recruit, I don't see the problem. If you think they can at least play special teams...sign'em both the F up, I don't care how big or small a class is. I'll take my **** chances.

I hear you, but the scrubs are usually swings and misses not a sac bunts like these friends are. I understand the point, but if you take these friends you better hit a high percentage on the rest of the class, because every miss from then on out is compounded.

I'm glad we take the high road on that. Not like we have a choice right now anyway. The ony way I'd be in favor is is you would honestly recruit the kid anyway.

Butch took scrubs and Golden will take scrubs, too. Everyone does.

Ok that's great. Randy's last couple years recruiting efforts were on par with Cokers.

I'm starting to think Collins is looking for any excuse away from Miami. Hopefully Golden can get him past the sanctions issues.

Coley was about to commit to Miami, but because his boy got an offer from FSU, that changes things?

Not buying it, you are not about to commit to a school that doesn't even have your friend on the radar period if his college choice holds any barring to where you will land.
