I’ll take the stress when it’s coupled with scoring points on offense. Oppose to being on the field the same amount coupled with an offense that can’t score or constantly going three and out
Agreed. Nice to actually have a normal convo about it instead of getting murdered by half the people on this board for posting that.

Look..you mean well but you did this **** with Enos & it needs to stop.

Stop crowning & stop analyzing these coaches & their systems in any positive light until they accomplish winning big while working for the University of Miami.

It needs to stop? If I listened to all the negativity in my life and stopped and gave up when people told me to I would have never really gotten very far. And no offense, I don't take advice from authoritative shadows.

Crown? I am currently looking at all the Lashlee losses to get a sense what went wrong because there is another side of the picture. And Enos? I was complimentary of him sure. I will not hide from anything that I said. It was a breath of fresh air hiring Enos after Richt's reluctance to call more than 20 or so plays a game and putting us disadvantaged by predictability.

I'll also remind you some pivotal points to that initial Enos piece. "Is it the offense I would run here?" No. "This offense under no stretch of the imagination is pace and space speed demon" "I have concerns about the pace that it operates under." "His last year at Arkansas he was 4-8 and in the 100's in plays ran" "Can it work here, Yes"

And lastly if you can't understand that people have opinions? That I have an opinion that this is the style of offense Miami should have ran for the last 10 years, or an opinion that this is a good hire vs bad hire, etc. etc. Then that is all on you to figure out

ALWAYS appreciate your analysis and takes...with that said, a few points...

-- Unless Miami replaces entire OL unit w/ "KJ quality" grad transfers, uptempo is best way to mitigate glaring weaknesses
-- QB is forced to throw ball under 1 sec (ok..being silly) because OL provides no push/protection on consistent basis
-- More plays Miami O runs, less plays Miami D defends
-- I've been saying for years Canes are built like Manning's Colts (minus a productive O)

-- He has no other choice, defenders too often reached QBs as fast as they could run
-- Perhaps putting QB in shotgun 20yds behind LOS will buy time behind putrid OL unit?

-- Without dramatic change, Miami's OL could have a 15 sack game next year
-- Lashlee thinks (as he should) that he can fix the problem through coaching
-- Soon after he arrives, he will realize only full OL replacement will solve the OL issues

-- Appears Williams and Perry can't process that fast
-- Matocha the interim answer? Grad transfer? TVD?

-- Miami's OL simply can't do either on consistent basis
-- Even more strongly disagree if you think SMUs OL unit play isn't significantly better than Miami's
-- Atheletes? Majority blame. Coaching? Minority blame.
-- My guess is OL unit shows no improvement, nut ball gets out quicker so hopefully less sacks (risk of Pick 6 elevates though)
-- As an OL unit, they played good enough to put up the stats they did
-- Miami wishes they could have done half of what SMU accomplished this past season
-- Performed as a unit significantly better than anything Miami's has done since 2002

-- Miami's QB will do so out of necessity and sheer terror

-- I think he would challenge for #1 slot

- Because of separation, not system

-- That is in every OC's job description

-- Exactly what a team built like the Pony's should do
-- Spread O run/pass blocking schemes are supposed to be identical to further confuse D
-- Helps undersized OL perform as whole sum greater than individual parts

As before "In Lashlee We Trust" until OL gives up sacks, can't push for runs, and WRs get no separation. Those aren't system problems, those are athlete fails.

I'm guardedly optimistic Miami can get 4-6 Ws with Rhett, but don't expect more until proven otherwise.
Basically you don’t think coaches can make A single difference in players’ performance. I respectfully disagree with that asinine notion.

It’s a legit concern...some of you are clueless & worthless when it comes to football.

I mean, posters on here are worthless? They might be the learning the game like the rest of us... but worthless?

Dear InSight board peeps, regardless of your knowledge of the game, I personally don't find you worthless despite what this guy says about you.

👊

Only a dim witted, wheezing, moronic mouth breather would infer that was the point I was offering.

I say this, respectfully of course.

According to your post: Their O-line performed better because they have a better unit. Their WR performed better because they got more separation. I could go on and on. Everywhere they outperformed is it was because their players were better not because their coaching staff put them in better situations. Asinine post made by a simpleton

Meh...You’re not really saying much, it sounds provocative..I get it...it gets the people going. Not me though.

Nevertheless...analyze his offense with miami players in a miami football game calling plays in this pressure cooker known as miami football. I can respect your opinion on that but other than that, we simply need to gauge his raw numbers. Imho of course..lol

LOL at this nonsense of predicting how easy the offense is to assimilate is fools gold you’re selling. Enough man 🤣🤣

Appreciate the work.

The only thing you are wrong about is saying the SMU QB is #4 here. Here in Dallas, I went to 2 live SMU games and watched a couple more and Buechele looked way better than our guys ever did. Our QBs can't make some of the one on one throws to the correct shoulder like he does

How can you say "they can't" do something they've never been taught or tasked to do?

So we finally did it. We finally got the offense I have been begging this university to run for over a decade. I honestly will start by saying that I think we nailed this hire. This was my number one pick this cycle and I have been answering with Rhett Lashlee anytime someone would ask me who would be my pick to replace Enos. (I did say Lincoln Riley's pen too) This will be 11 narrated clips from the FIRST HALF of the SMU Temple game. I decided to start the series with a common opponent for next year in Temple.

Here are some random first look take away points from the first half
  • This is a multiple based uptempo spread offense
  • In the first half alone I charted 61 plays
  • Miami ran 64 plays a game in 2019 (Now you know why I did this video in parts)
  • Initial impression is that Lashlee will not put the stress on the offensive line that Enos did
  • There is a consorted effort to get rid of the ball quickly
  • SMU allowed only 17 sacks on the year (34 less than Miami's 51)
  • One of my biggest criticisms of last year's offense was the refusal to audible when necessary
  • Rhett Lashlee and SMU will check with me at the line of scrimmage
  • Run game this first half was not overly complicated and utilized both zone and man blocking
  • Zone read will be featured much more in this style of offense
  • I strongly disagree if you think SMU's offensive line is better than Miami's
  • SMU's offensive line was not dominant and hardly created any push
  • They don't seem to be a very powerful or overly athletic offensive line
  • Once again the quarterback is getting rid of the ball very quickly not requiring to block long
  • Air raid components are apparent with option routes based off look
  • RPO friendly formations that are easily read identifiable for quarterbacks
  • SMU quarterback would be the #4 quarterback here. (I mean #3 if Tate was on vacation again)
  • This system will not be overly complicated to assimilate as far as a QB is concerned (Pre snap reads are much simpler to find)
  • SMU WR's had their way with Temple DB's
  • Lashlee manufactured some big plays by design
  • Favorite play was watching 12 set personnel act as blocking decoys when in fact it was a stop and go (I will attach clip)
  • That play showed the ability to use personnel to gain an advantage
  • SMU went under center very sparingly and were a predominate shotgun based team
  • 11 set heavy but also showed 10 and 12 set personnel

Thank you for supporting the YouTube page and it was an absolute pleasure to become a student of this offense. There will be many more games I look to tackle this off season but no place like the present. Also look forward to Lance Roffer's breakdown as he will definitely be utilizing his technical aptitude and bring his unique talents to the table. You know we assemble around these things like a kick *** x/o forming Voltron. I'LL FORM THE HEAD.

none of this **** is going to matter as long as the FSU daddy’s boy is in charge.

but you will never call out someone from your own tribe. its pathetic.

Here is a clip of their tempo drill when he was at auburn. Yes it’s against air but it’s all about getting them used to playing fast. We did this as part of our conditioning (and mental conditioning). In games our C would be begging the ref to spot it faster.

And his offense sucked at Auburn...

Do you really believe Miami's current state of putridity is predominately caused by "coaches not putting players in better positions"?

PS...asinine and simpleton are too little used terms in everyday conversation. You know, how you were referred to as a child.

The “check with me” stood out immediately to me. We’re going from not even allowing our QBs to audible to having a progressive mind change plays on the sideline if needed. Huge change.

lmfao we ran check with me with Rick.....howd that turn out?

god you people are suckers.

you do this **** every season for a decade now, and you wonder why we keep bad coaches so long?

I did not like the Enos hire after I watched the film. It looked like the same offense Richt ran maybe even more ancient.

This is the first OC hire I can remember liking. People will try to use stats to justify it being a bad hire but IMO Manny defensive stats weren't that great before he got to Miami but he ran exactly the type of defense Miami needed, a 4-3 attacking 1 gap defense and it been working.

This feels like the Manny Diaz hire when Richt hired him back in 2016 the numbers don't blow you away but you have to watch the film. It like recruiting sometimes a kid will have crazy HS stats but you know based on film his game won't translate well. Same thing when we hired Diaz as a DC in '16 you looked at the stats and thought bad hire, but then you watched how aggressive Miss State was on tape and you thought this would work really well at Miami. This feels the same but just on offense.

This offense is a true spread offense with some of that Auburn built in run game. They stretch you vertically and horizontally while also having a power run game. We just need to focus on our OL now.

Diaz defense sucks against good OLs. Gets absolutely worked. He compiled stats against bad ACC teams but the defense is completely exposed against any legit squad.

If you actually think Diaz defense is anything special you are a moron. Its been proven over and over throughout his career.

No we didn’t.

After all the hype about “the QB whisperer” last off-season, I’m gonna wait and see if Lashlee proves it on the field when it matters.

The last several years provide no rational reason to believe he’s gonna come in and tear it up. Especially when you look at the roster and the rest of the coaching staff.

So...good luck to him.

You are a Diaz sunshine pumper. You are a fluffer for the worst effing coach of all time and its people like that got him hired and keep him employed here. Its disgraceful.

So yes, it needs to stop. People should know your entire aim is to promote the cuban coach at all costs, and at the expense of our young men on the field.
