Chalking a recruiting loss up to a lower-perceived ACC team overpaying at the last minute? Holy ****, we finally got the SEC mindset.
What do you mean lower-perceived ACC team? Last time I checked last year SMU played in the ACC Championship while our team got our butts kicked by Iowa St. Maybe you should say higher perceived team instead.

Do you know what the word “perceived” means?

Yes I do, and did you know most of the Country thinks UM is a joke and living in the past while SMU is an up and coming team in our conference. This not the 80's 90's or early 2000's. UM is a perceived middle of the road team by college football media and fans.
Most of the country absolutely does not take SMU seriously. Should they, yes. But they don’t.

Most of the country hates Miami. But they definitely see Miami as a more serious program than SMU.

You took “stacked” and ran with it. That’s on you. Not me. I get it..there is only “Mario won!/Mario failed!” with many of you. There is never any other logical reasoning behind why a recruit wouldn’t choose us. I was just giving an alternative reasoning outside of “Mario sucks again and he’s an overrated recruiter” like many posters spew on here. TE isn’t a position where you want to walk into a crowded room when there are only 3-4 targets a game to be had anyway. We can agree to disagree on your definition of “crowded” or “stacked”.
Mario plays like 6 tes a year so u can throw the argument away. SMU isnt a te factory over there.

If he isnt coming here it wouldnt be because of a stacked room or targets. It would more so be he wants to stay home and nil.
