I know this won't ever change, but after years and years of celebrating and **** talking prematurely. I would think more people would keep their composure at this point and let things play out. The ebbs and flows of recruiting should tell you that if you are one of the sheep that blindy follows.
Imma take a lap, it's Monday.
Are you looking at star rankings or production? Arguing that rooms are stacked based upon 247sports is wild. Not saying this kid is afraid of competition…but have you guys taken a look at our TE room? With Briggs..we are pretty stacked. Schott has flashed already according to reports. I know we use the phrase “stack chips” but some kids don’t see it like that. Kid might be able to start immediately at SMU and stay home to boot.
I mean, they have heavyweight money and made it to playoffs while we did not so............SMU is a CFB heavyweight?
This is what it feels like when your’e going head to head w UGA/Clemson/OSU/Bama etc for top/elite recruits it’s not always gonna be trending positive, just gotta keep chipping away things will change constantly. This past few days of recruiting have been terrible. Thats how recruiting goes though.
Like every single recruitment had gone the other way.

Elijah Arroyo was the best TE we have had in years. And he averaged 4 catches a game. We recruited two TEs last year and according to some of you..the best TE talent we have had in decades is a true sophomore that more than likely isn’t leaving early. (Loften) And now we got Briggs. If you guys think a top end TE is going to look at all of those factors and look at the 4 catches per game on average for the position and not think they would be hesitant.not sure what to tell you.…this isn’t the WR position we are talking here. Are you looking at star rankings or production? What was your intended message behind this? Does this validate stating the TE room is stacked? The TE room is a mystery that many are hopeful has an impact due to potential. Their is nothing more to be said and unknowns aren't deferring anybody. If you want to tell me he doesn't want to be TE2 in a class then that has some merit.Elijah Arroyo was the best TE we have had in years. And he averaged 4 catches a game. You took “stacked” and ran with it. That’s on you. Not me. I get it..there is only “Mario won!/Mario failed!” with many of you. There is never any other logical reasoning behind why a recruit wouldn’t choose us. I was just giving an alternative reasoning outside of “Mario sucks again and he’s an overrated recruiter” like many posters spew on here. TE isn’t a position where you want to walk into a crowded room when there are only 3-4 targets a game to be had anyway. We can agree to disagree on your definition of “crowded” or “stacked”.What was your intended message behind this? Does this validate stating the TE room is stacked? We spread the ball around an experience receiver room with x George brown and Horton. Then had a good running game. Arroyo was underutilized for sure. But we also had weapons everywhere. This year we will be counting on lofton as maybe our #3 receiverElijah Arroyo was the best TE we have had in years. And he averaged 4 catches a game.
