2026 Zachery Turner 4* TE From Duncanville, TX

You mean the regards where smu reportedly "ponied up" to outbid our offer?

With all fairness, why wouldn't we believe that to be true?

I mean I doubt we would get into "overbid" territory with Lofton, Schott, Gilbert, Briggs...

Don't get me wrong, I thought this kid was underrated and wanted him at UM for months now. But why would that be a far-fetched explanation into what changed his mind?

SMU isnt a te factory over there.

TE Factory…no. But B.Jordan ATE in Lashlee's offense and Maryland is going to be one of the nation's best this year. Was on pace to catch what 45-50 balls before getting hurt in late October? Couple with that with like you said a hefty NIL deal...

your saying this in relation to MIAMI and TE'S though.

B Jordan played at Miami and RJ Maryland was eating before Lashlee got there. Hes a kid i thought we should have just straight up deebo'd them in the portal for.

But he will be Brevin Jordan in Lashlee offense ...kid is gonna win if he goes to smu or miami. Just is gonna get a bigger initial bag and get to stay home.

I liked him more than Briggs so definitely wanted him in this class....now whatever money of nil he wanted can be used elsewhere.

We can sign two tes next class as it appears 27 has some dudes in it. Hopefully the one local te keeps developing because we may get him on a lesser nil and a national big dog.

Maybe the te from Norland is who you are talking about?

Regardless no biggie.., it doesn’t seem like any locals right now are giving us any homeyown discounts on NIL. You always have a good pulse on your hometown so maybe I’m reading it wrong

Yea i'm talking about kid from Norland.

TES shouldnt be asking for huge nil in general. And s.fla doesnt produce those so i'm hoping he develops some this year...my guy is his oc so i would have a pulse on him more so on his playing level.

We have already offered a good bit of 27 tes. So if they only go Briggs im also ok with it.

We will be in play with this kid because of Nickel.

I believe it is very likely to be true. I was responding to the poster that made it seem like he just wanted to remain loyal to his hometown. In reality his hometown decided to make the money right, which is a key detail to omit.

**** imagine going from This kid, Briggs, and Kent... to only Briggs lol. Would be a joke to say you're content with just Briggs this class lol. We have 3 TEs on the Roster returning we should expect like anything out of and two of them are freshman this year lol. What are they smoking.

Good news is I actually think landing a TE out of the portal wouldn't be too difficult or expensive tbh. But I'd bet just paying up to land this kid and then having him on the roster would absolutely end up working out to be cheaper in the long-run. So...

"good for smu" 🙄

My bad, I read your wrong.

Yes I do, and did you know most of the Country thinks UM is a joke and living in the past while SMU is an up and coming team in our conference. This not the 80's 90's or early 2000's. UM is a perceived middle of the road team by college football media and fans.
Sad truth. We blew our chance last year thanks to worst defense since the Donofrio/ Olivadoti era..

Hopefully this season we can put it together and not lose to ******* bums.

It was supposed to be yesterday, but he pushed it to the 12th like two weeks ago, not sure if that’s what is being referenced.
