What do you guys think the repercussions of firing golden would be? What would happen to this team, the 2015 class, and even our 2016 class? It just sucks so much because I feel like firing Golden would put us back another 2 years at least, although we dont seem to be getting much of anywhere with him

Phil Montgomery - hands and panties down!

http://www.baylorbears.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/philip_montgomery_350366.html

Can you imagine the numbers this man could drop on any given defense with South Florida talent?

Baylor doesn't even get top tier talent in Texas and they absolutely destroy defenses. With SFL talent this man could drop 70 per gm without even trying.

Wouldn't even be fair

Check it:

Following Baylor's record-breaking 2013 Big 12 championship season, Montgomery was honored as the Offensive Coordinator of the Year by FootballScoop and was named a finalist for the Broyles Award given to the nation's top assistant.

Montgomery has called plays for an offense ranked among the nation's top two in each of the past three seasons. The Bears led the nation in total offense in2013 (618.8 ypg) and ranked second in both 2012 (572.2) and 2011 (587.1). Baylor's passing attack has ranked among the top five in that same span - fifth in 2013 (359.1 ypg) and fourth in both 2012 (340.5) and 2011 (351.5).

For three straight seasons, each with a different quarterback, Montgomery's pupils have earned All-America honors. In 2013, junior Petty joined the list after throwing for 4,200 yards and 32 TDs. Petty finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting and was named the unanimous Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year.

There's enough talent on the roster to win immediately and if golden is let go right after the regular season the incoming coach(assuming it's a good hire) wouldn't have a problem keeping most of the commits

Should have gone Trestman over Golden. How about that prick that got fired from the Denver Broncos and spied for the Pats?

Next years coach, to quote The Who ....meet the new boss, same as the old boss. AG can impress me by being the ax man after this season and getting quality assistants to go along with the incoming talent. Otherwise, perennial mediocrity.
