Would we be better if Jack Allison didn't transfer?

Any coach that wins a natty instantly gets some sort of pass when they lose. And gets labeled as smarter and better than othe dudes. Alabam has 7 years straight with the top class. 3 deep in 4 and 5 stars in all positions.
That’s the genius of it nothing more nothing less. And even then they almost dropped 2 last year. But he gets a hall pass and has only gone undefeated once. Urban has never gone undefeated. And you know what happens to all these goats when they get lower ranked classes? They lose between 2-4 games. Urban lost 4 games after winning in 2006. Why? Cause he lost 9 starters on defense. It’s a valid excuse. But if he didn’t win that natty the year before he would’ve been in the hot seat cause it was his 3rd year and maybe not have gotten the number 1 class.

Would love to have an one of those cosches, period. Spin it, nitpick however you want, they are the two best coaches in the country. They are winning while we are sitting here discussing what if about a kid whose never thrown a meaningful college pass.

He would've been another clipboard holder sitting behind Rosier.

He made the best decision for himself, he didn't fit with this Offense at all & woulda struggled just like every other QB we've had.

Even if he's a sh*tty QB, the type of Offense they play in the West Va can hide deficiencies & make QB's like him look halfway decent. Unless he's just god awful & sub 50% passer, with a quick passing bubble screen attack Offense it's not that difficult to do. I don't think if he stuck around he would've made one bit of difference.

The best this Offense will look even with a talented QB is a combination of 2016 Kaaya at his best + 2017 Rosier at his best. If you think all its going to take is Jarren to make this Offense look like a high octane machine, then you're simply setting yourself up for disappointment.

That actually doesn't sound too bad.

Urban went 12-0 his first year after OSU went 6-6 the previous year. He would've played for title and most likely won if not for post season ban

Are you aware that Terry Bowden coached Auburn to an undefeated season in ‘93 when they were under a postseason ban? It doesn’t count.

I couldn’t wait for Jack to be behind center and doing what has always been the blueprint for our success offensively which is letting our QB distribute the ball to our athletes and let their talent do the rest but that blueprint seems lost on Richt. Jack was putting up the best numbers but Richt and Jr couldn’t stop drooling over Perry. I think the final straw was going live with the defense with Jack starting then canceling that in the scrimmage after Allison’s shoulder was separated and dropping him to 3rd string even though he was head and shoulders above everyone else. I feel like we were deep into the playoffs last year with Jack and winning it all this year. I have family that are diehard WVU fans and I told them they got their future QB and made it well known how depressed I was about it. I have wanted to start a thread about Capn Jack for a while but the venom that was on here when he made the decision to leave was so toxic that I didn’t feel like getting negged to death. I’m glad someone finally brought it up.

Meyer recruited Cam to be heir to Tebow. Who could resist that offer? Especially a QB of Cam’s statue? Even if Richt has recruited Newton as a QB do you think he’d have out-recruited Meyer during the Gator’s run? Please....find something else to complain about. Plenty to choose from.

What? So we should excuse Richt for a poor eval, because he wouldn't have gotten him anyways? **** poor argument.

Not arguing the evaluation. Recruiting Cam as a TE was a botch job. I’m critical of anyone thinking it would have made a difference. Same phans would have bychted he didn’t land Cam had he offered him as a QB. By the way, Richt was the only coach to offer Cam as an athlete, or as a TE. Spurrier was another.

Regardless, it’s a moot point now.

Soo, the head corch can't override the OC? Lulz
I'm not saying richt didn't have a hand in it but OC has full control over guys running their system. That's not new info. It's apparent that bobo specifically did not want Watson

James Coley with Rosier and kaaya etc
